- 5.0 Kangar Street Art 2.0 (2 reviews)
-Really good
Points of Interest & Landmarks
One of the better street art we've seen in Malaysia. Props are used, the ground and the higher walls are also painted on. The quality of work is good and you can even visit at night as the lights will be on. See more..
- 4.5 Al Hussain Mosque (Floating Mosque) (40 reviews)
-Mystical mosque
Religious Sites
This is a serene place perfectly selected for this majestic mosque. The surrounding is swarm with dragon fly due to the nature comfort. It’s very well maintained and entering on give you a sense of peace. Non Muslim are allowed in provided you are dressed appropriately. The ceiling of this mosque captivated my interest and feeling sad that I am not able to catch a good snap of it. The windows are so special and ray of sun throw in the mystical feel. The surrounding view is as enchanting as the mosque. You just need to bring respect when you visit this and you will understand what it gives in return . See more..
- 4.0 Muzium Kota Kayang (23 reviews)
-Very good but under visited museum
Speciality Museums
This is a Malaysia 5*. In this part of North Malaysia this museum is absolutely 5*. Perhaps it might not fair so well elsewhere. However it is informative in both BM and English. We have visited twice and both times there was only one other car in the car park. The lady enforcing the RMCO SOPs is lovely and most helpful. The addition of the opportunity to purchase fish food was most welcome to our kids (age 4 & 2). This is a lovely location and a great way to spend 1-2 hours while learning about local history. -Taman Rekreasi Gua Cenderawasih
Spent < 1 hour Hiking Trails
This attraction point is renamed to Taman Bunga Kertas Tuanku Lailatul Shahreen. It's located behind Hotel Seri Malaysia, Kangar. Required certain level of fitness to hike up to the hill. It's expected less than 20 minutes to reach the top and another 15 minutes to go down. We can hiking up either from Gua Cenderawasih or behind Hotel Seri Malaysia. Second option is easier than the first See more..
- 4.0 Taman Eko-Rimba Bukit Ayer (1 review)
-Nice and attractive waterfall
Spent 1-2 hours Parks
This recreational park is located 12 km from Kangar City and is close to the Perlis Snake Farm and is located in a very natural and attractive forest area for a variety of recreational activities. The chilly, clear waters of the tropical rainforest, and its waterfalls diverge into the pool below, making it an ideal location for picnics and relaxation. It is a must visit for those who like waterfalls. The jungle is a place for picnics, relaxation, vacations and a variety of recreational activities not only for locals but also for tourists. It is an ideal place for your family to take a picnic and relaxation. Cold water, beautiful and peaceful scenery, plus panoramic tropical forests as well as waterfalls flowing into the pool give you a peaceful and fresh atmosphere. In this forest also there is a campsite. Don't worry about basic amenities if you want to camp here. There are many amenities available in this recreational forest such as a children's playground, prayer room, food stall, relaxing cottage and toilet. See more..
- 4.0 Pengkalan Asam Trails Recreational Park (1 review)
-You want to run? This is the best place in Perlis so far.
Spent < 1 hour Parks
You want to run? This is the best place in Perlis so far. Beautiful scenery along riverside, enough parking, toilet, variable distance between 2.6 to 7km. Beautiful place to have a photo shoot too. If you are staying in Kangar Town and are looking for a relaxing destination, one of the best places to visit is the Pengkalan Asam Trails Recreational Park. The park has complete facilities for visitors such as walking tracks, observation huts and more. Most interesting here is that there is a canopy walk hanging bridge that across the Perlis River & is great for photo sessions. See more..

- 3.5 Arked Niaga Padang Besar (6 reviews)
-It wakes up on the weekend
Shopping Malls
With the border to Thailand closed, the market activity is limited to Friday, Saturday, and maybe Sunday. During the week, the market appeared totally shut, but on Friday, many shops opened, food vendors opened, and locals and visitors started arriving around 11 AM. Prices are some of the best in Malaysia, even today. We bought some unique designed facemasks and a half kilo of roasted cashews that were quite fresh. See more..

Shopping Malls
had enjoyed our time during our trip to Padang Besar Arcade. managed to shop the local products (eventhough most of the products and workers are from the neighbour country ). they were very friendly and helpful. I amazed with the things they sell at the arcade. we easily can find Thai products especially halal foods. plan to visit Padang Besar again, hopefully, Another good things, the Malaysia & Thailand border are less traffic compared to Bukit Kayu Hitam, Kedah See more..
- 3.5 Taman Bunga Kertas Tuanku Lailatul Shahreen (3 reviews)
-Not maintained!
Spent < 1 hour Parks
It is really a nice place to jog or chill. Wished there were more bougainvilleas to live up to the park’s name. Sadly there were only some pots of bougainvillea and they didn’t seem to be healthy. Plenty of lilies in the pond as well as rubbish everywhere, in the pond! Sad. See more..
- 3.0 Snake And Reptile Farm (26 reviews)
-Disappointed!
Nature & Wildlife Areas
I went there to see the sunflowers. My mistake was not to call them to ask for details. So if you are driving long distance, do call. Another mistake of mine was to assume that they manage to organize patches of sunflowers to bloom every month as this flower is not seasonal. Unfortunately, they only plant when the patch die off. Poor organization. When we entered the premise, we were shocked of how poorly the whole was maintained. Most shocking was the hundreds of cats kept in cages in a warehouse that smelt horribly. I believed these cats are up for adoption as there was a couple there with an empty cage BUT OMG the smell...! Other than that, we only saw one crocodile and some birds in dirty cages. Such a nice place but VERY poorly maintained. Entrance fee was RM6 per adult, mind you! See more..
