Oh wow! Tough! I love walking but the incline got to me . I wasn’t really prepared for the challenge. Lesson learned. I need to get better walking shoes with tighter ankle grip for walking down. It took us 2 and a half hours up and less coming down. We started at 10am and lucky that the day wasn’t too hot. So glad we made it to the top ! Hydrate often!! Take tiny sips every few mins , and even coming down. 1 ltr bottle should be enough for 1 person to drink and carry down. See more..
4.0Bukit Engku Busu(2 reviews) - Good Hiking Trail Hiking Trails
If you feel like doing something different when in Lumut, this will be nice hill to climb, not very high, about 330m (about 1100 ft high). It is quite manageable for beginners although there are certain parts that are quite steep. The trails are well laid out and you can't get lost. There's ample parking at the foot and it's free. The view on top is quite stunning, overlooking the Lumut Navy Base.See more..
3.5Gunung Relau(2 reviews) - Steep in historical artefacts, no view at the top, lots of leeches, some hard inclines Spent More than 3 hours Hiking Trails
It's a total of 12km hike starting from the carpark in the residential area. The trail can be confusing with left trail going to Gunung Bujang Melaka, right trail heading towards Gunung Relau. Lotsa leeches along the way, so please come prepared. There are some rock climbing involved, hard inclines as we approached the peak. Approximately 800-900km of elevation gain in 3-4km trail, considerably steep, therefore please train before coming. Alas, once you reached the top, you are awarded with photo opportunity with stacks of ammo boxes.See more..
5.0Bukit Berekeh Sungai Siput(1 review) - Million Star Staycation in Bukit Berekeh Wednesday: 12:00 AM - 11:59 PM Hiking Trails
Nope… We didn’t plan for this million star staycation with elevation. Special thanks to New Lee Tuan for taking his time to share his advice on this 360 panoramic view of Sungai Siput (without the Siput). Apparently there is not much info in the web. Here we go. Bukit Berekeh Max Elevation: 454m Distance: 5.89km (legendary trail) Time: 3 hours ++ View: 4/5 Difficulty: 3/5 MEDIUM Permit: No There is 2 trail head. The one that I used would be legendary trail. Started off by going through the oil palm plantation. There is a few arrow that you need to take note off. When you reach the elevation part, you might need to go through some bushes. Don’t let that discourage you. To reach the peak you will have to hike through 5 peaks. Some area is rather rocky and steep, as they are not as gentle as you thought. Terrain is mainly sandy and gravel. 89% without shades, suitable for morning else evening hike.See more..
