I was really impressed with the architecture of this mosque. It's so unique and beautiful, I had the opportunity to perform the Zuhr prayer, and I feel like very calm. For Muslims who were coming to Alor setar, please do not miss the chance to come and pray at this mosque. Although the mosque has been built for a long time ago, it is very well kept and really clean. See more..

    Rumah Tok Su image
Rumah Tok Su is a traditional Malay house that has been restored and rebuilt in Alor Setar, Kedah. As with Rumah Seri Banai next to it, this house was built as part of the Malay Heritage Village, a brainchild of then Menteri Besar, Tan Sri Dato' Seri Sanusi Junid. The house was originally built in Kampung Permatang Kerat Telunjuk, which is in Bandar Baharu District in southern Kedah. Rumah Tok Su, as we know it presently, is named after the final owner, whose father was the headman of Kampung Permatang Kerat Telunjuk. The house was built a hundred years ago by Tok Su's grandfather, a Tuan Haji Mahmud. It is a sprawling structure comprising six different wings around a main hall, which is called the "Rumah Ibu Berbumbung Potongan Belanda", adjoined by the verandah, the middle hall, the in-between chamber, the kitchen and platform.
