This is the second time i drove my own car to Langkawi and the only route is via Kuala Perlis ferry terminal to Lembungan in Langkawi. Journey takes about 2-2.5 hours depending in sea conditions. There are two operators with several trips throughout the day both ways. Drive to Langkawi is very popular so it is, advisable to book way in advance and economical compare to flights. Just google and you can find them. If you fail to book online call them directly which was how i got my onward trip which was full. We have the convenience of loading up extra stuff into the car with chilled drinks in cooler and food. Shopping is made easy too without lugging stuff around in airport or ferry. See more..
