I will never forget walking around the path and seeing our first view of this amazing place. Zhangjiajie is truly a hidden gem that is worth making the journey. This is a must do in China! The heights are just insane and heart stopping! (i'm terrified of heights and survived) The platform is just a few step closer to nature with a spine tingling drop off. You are just so high up on these mountains, an it is so full of life. I highly recommend taking a guide with you. At first we intended to do the trek ourself & wow! We would probably still be lost in those mountains. Bruce got us around quick and efficiently so we were able to see so many sights like this one. ([email protected])See more..
4.0Zhurong Peak(19 reviews) - Highest peak in Hengshan Lookouts
Zhurong Peak is the highest peak amongst the 72 peaks in Hengshan. I hiked from the base of mountain to its midway & took the cable car. After the cable car ride, it was still another 1 hour uphill climb along the road to reach the peak. A Taoist temple resides at the top, with many locals offering incense & prayers. As I visited in beginning April, the surrounding scenery is not that great as some trees are barren. Nevertheless, I was glad I made it to the top, being able to hike one of the 5 main mountains in China.See more..
