4.0Yellow Dragon Cave(354 reviews) - Dank cave with a dragon Friday: 7:30 AM - 5:30 PM Spent 2-3 hours Geologic Formations
This cave is a marvellous and multivalent destination, by turns a peaceful area for repose and a vibrant space of self-exploration. Highly recommended for the supernatural, creatures of Darkness, owls, fungal pods, curious half-elves, human tourists, and bats who were born in the cave then left to explore & mate and are now looking to settle down. It is adequately dank. And, of course, there is the yellow dragon. If you ask the dragon a proper question, you will receive a proper answer. No dumb questions. Even though the dragon exudes a fierce erotic force, do not make any ribald comments in front of the dragon, though winking is sometimes permitted. In order to access the dragon’s chambers, you have to defeat the Ancient Vampire, so I recommend equipping the Amulet of Valgorth for a +5 resistance against fire magic. DO NOT SLAY THE DRAGON. 4/5See more..

We wanted to go to tianbofu however that was closed for renovation so we only walked to WulongZhai instead. Definitely worth the trip. Super nice view, some areas you have to climb and pass very narrow passageways but it made for some very cool pictures. Do not recommend big backpack for this road. Also the view from the bathroom sink alone the way was the best ever. Check my picture.See more..
4.5Tuojiang Rock(25 reviews) - Fun activity Geologic Formations
Really enjoyed and fun walking on the Tuojiang Rock. Be careful for slipery. It is not suitable on rainning day. Very popular photo spot. Visited on Dec 2018.See more..
This is clearly a beautiful spot. Amazing on a clear day and ok on a patchy day. But if you're planning a visit and the forecast is rain or cloud then it really is best to save your money and time and wait for a clear day. Three highlights are the views of course, then there's the spot where you can stand on both Guanxi Zhuang Province and Hunan Province at the same time. Finally two nice temples, Yuntian is very genuine and quaint. And behind it another smaller shrine. Very rustic not touristy at all. See more..
Nice nature reserve with lots of rocks formations and flora . A lot of walking required so make sure you carry lots of water as there are a few stops along the way for drinks but not too many . Lots of fantastic Water Lotus plants . See more..
3.5Ziquejie Terrace National Scenic Resort(7 reviews) - Great place to experience rular China landscape. Friday: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Points of Interest & Landmarks • Forests • Geologic Formations
One of the places to enjoy rice terraces in China. This is not a very turistic place, even for Chinese people. Lot of spots with amazing views but the impression depends on the season you came here. We were here in the beginning of april, a little bit too early, before the rice was planted. Whe lived in a hotel in Xinhua and reached Ziquejie with the early bus (7:20 am). The driver suggested us to live the bus at the topmost villages and walk down to Shuiche village. It was a good idea, we could enjoy the landscape from many different perspectives.See more..
A cave right next to a thriving industrial town, Wanhuayan Cave, might not be on everyone's tourist agenda. However, this is worth a visit. The cave entrance is very harmoniously developed to make a very pretty entrance with an entrance lake and forecourt from which to savour the cool cave wind that exits the cave. The path through the cave is over 2k, so it must rate as one of the longest show caves around. Tourists are thankfully left to their own to explore, with key features explained on numerous boards. One can even enter a little side passage to get a feel for real caving. It is a good cave - my only regret is the coloured lighting which deflects from the natural splendour of this place. See more..
4.0East River Wonders(6 reviews) - Breathtaking beauty of rolling mountains and fresh flowing water Geologic Formations
A photographers paradise for capturing the beauties of nature, and an area relatively untouched by humans. The water quality of the East River meets the state-level requirement for human consumption . . . Thus, drinkable water, as it was meant to be before the 20th and 21st centuries of pollution creators. Very few foreign tourists here. Just a few Chinese sightseers. Great scenic water and mountain views in all directions. From here we went on to see Dongjiang Lake, to see its awesome beauty.See more..

Be prepared. It can be windy then rainy then sunny then foggy. All in the space of a few minutes. It's very beautiful providing great views. Totally doesn't seem like it's in China. Reminded me of the UK. Horse riding is there but they don't look healthy. The bus ride is crazy. Like 1 hour up a winding mountain road 1200 mSee more..

4.5Zuolong Gorges(2 reviews) - Zuolong Gorge - a must see! Friday: 12:00 AM - 11:59 PM Points of Interest & Landmarks • Geologic Formations
Imagine waterfalls galore and incredible, breathtaking views filled with a sea of green - a 2 hour drive from the city section of Zhangjiajie. We visited Zuolong Gorge with a Zhangjiajie tour guide and it was one of our favourite places during our 2 week holiday in China. The approximately 2 hour walk/climb up Zuolong Gorge ranges from easy (i.e. walking on a wooden footpath), to a little more challenging further inside as you need to climb up some slippery rocks beside waterfalls with the help of a carefully laid out chain. On top of the mountain is a small village. We ate lunch at a farmer's house (a few of them have makeshift restaurants outside with tables as part of their house). We ate chicken caught that day in the village (they walk around freely), one amazing egg dish, rice and seasonal vegetables. We even tried fried wasps! One of the family members drove us back down the mountain (approximately a 10 minute drive) to the ticket area. I'm not sure if you'd have the same experience by yourself, so definitely recommend a tour guide. Wear shoes with some decent grip (I walked with Asics running shoes while my boyfriend wore his hiking boots). Also bring a bottle of water per person. No toilets inside so use the bathroom at the ticket area if you need to. Enjoy! See more..

3.0Langshan General Stone(1 review) - Interesting Rock Points of Interest & Landmarks • Geologic Formations
When one takes a bamboo-raft ride along the Fuyi River (Fuyi River is located in Lanshan Town of Xinning County in the Hunan Province), one could see various rock formations. The most distinctive is the General Stone that stands high up on the riverbank. At certain angles it looks like a Chinese general.See more..
