This show is set in the natural landscape of the valley with Tianmen mountain in the background. The outdoor theatre is around a 20 minute drive from the town centre. The road is not that great. The theatre has 3 tiers of ticket pricing depending on seating position. We chose the middle price and was seated perfectly 5 rows from the front in the middle. The love story of 'a weedman and a fox fairy' is a Romeo and Juliet story. Even though it is all in Chinese there is a screen at the side that has English narration, this can be distracting though as you can't read the screen and watch the show. It was so spectacular, colorful and amazing you did not need a translation. It is a must see once in a lifetime experience.See more..

Our guide suggested that we attend this show and we were so thrilled with the amazing performances. The scenes in the show were so colourful and spectacular. The introductions were in English so we were able to follow the performance. The theatre was quite grand with beautiful old timber fittings and seating. We loved the way the show followed outdoors for the last part of the performances. The old negative about the evening were the rude Chinese people sitting behind us who kept talking through out the show. A must see show if in the Zhangjiajie area.See more..

Bought cheap seat tickets online for 35 RMB. Just before the show started the ushers offered everyone in the cheap seats the opportunity to move downstairs due to poor ticket sales. I really enjoyed the first hour which can best be described as a Vegas show. If like myself you can’t understand Mandarin I recommend you leave after the first hour, as the show mainly consists of showcasing runners up from the Voice China.See more..
