This place is breath-taking and an amazing sight. To think that it took millions of years for these unique mountains to form is humbling. The trail is well built and relatively easy to walk. Do wear comfortable track shoes as some parts can be abit slippery if it just rained. There are many interesting rocks that the guide pointed out to us, like a tortise shaped rock which symbolises longetivity. It can get quite crowded during peak hour especially at popular photo taking spots. We spent around 2-3 hours there in total. If you are hungry, don't worry there is McDonalds inside! :)See more..

3.5Ziquejie Terrace National Scenic Resort(7 reviews) - Great place to experience rular China landscape. Saturday: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Points of Interest & Landmarks • Forests • Geologic Formations
One of the places to enjoy rice terraces in China. This is not a very turistic place, even for Chinese people. Lot of spots with amazing views but the impression depends on the season you came here. We were here in the beginning of april, a little bit too early, before the rice was planted. Whe lived in a hotel in Xinhua and reached Ziquejie with the early bus (7:20 am). The driver suggested us to live the bus at the topmost villages and walk down to Shuiche village. It was a good idea, we could enjoy the landscape from many different perspectives.See more..
4.0Taohuayuan National Park(6 reviews) - Taoist oriented commune with nature! National Parks • Forests
Enjoyed a guided 2 hour tour, but didn't have enough time to take in all that I wanted. I will go back to enjoy what I missed. The park-like setting has Taoist temples and exhibits and easy hiking trails and walkways. To get the most out of it I would suggest two days, staying overnight in the park. Go and unwind. It will be crowded during peach blossom time and hot and humid in the summer. But there are lots of shady paths. I was there in June. It's a good place to learn something about Taoism as you enjoy the relaxing environment.See more..
4.0Jin'eshan Park(5 reviews) - Popular Local Park Saturday: 12:00 AM - 11:59 PM Parks • Forests
This is a nice park surrounded by grand tall trees. Entry is free. There is even a bamboo forest. The star of the park is a flying-style roof 3-storey tower at the top of the hill fronting the main entrance. You need to go through a long flight of steps to reach the tower. Within the park there is walking path leading to an amusement park. There is also swing bridge which I dare not cross as many children were playing across it. At the other end there is a small lake where many locals spend relaxing. If you are not in rush, take your time to explore the park.See more..

4.5Bamboo Forest of Junshan Mountain(4 reviews) - Excellent walk for the fit otherwise take the cable car. Forests Was treated to a visit of the bamboo forest by my host whilst on a business trip to the area. The walk to the top of the mountain (it's bigger than a hill folks) consists mainly of rough but fairly uniform stone stairs. Took just over an hour to make it to the top and was a great workout. Not recommended for those with any health issues as I don't think it would be that easy to call it quits and double back. The bamboo forests are impressive to look at and cooling environment to walk through. The view at the summit was fantastic and thoroughly enjoyed sipping local green tea whilst relaxing after a good heart rate work out. Looks like it could be a popular and busy place on weekends and local vacation periods. I was fortunate to be able to go on a weekday and the number of people then was not an inconvenience. Well worth the drive to get there and a great spot to visit. See more..
