Like every Thai Temple you have all your statues to see, pray to, and have a chance to get a blessing from a monk. It’s really impressive walking up the steps to the Big Buddha Statue, and behind the statue itself a great sight to see when you go up on a clear sunny day of the city. Extra points for a good cool breeze if you are so lucky to experience. Free to visit, at least pay respects, and donate to support. See more..

3.5Rangsri Soon Thorn Temple(2 reviews) - Right on the Highway Spent < 1 hour Religious Sites If you are travelling on Sukhumvit Road between Rayong and Sattahip, Wat Rangsri Soon Thorn is impossible to miss. There, right on the roadside about five kilometers from Sattahip, is a fat golden Chinese-style Buddha, about 20 meters tall. Inside the temple there is another even large Buddha, this one reclining, and is about 60 meters long. The temple itself does not appear to be of antiquity, but it is classically built, colourful, and worthy of a quick stop if you are driving past.See more..

4.5Wat Tham Nimit(2 reviews) - Spiritual and Beautiful Spent < 1 hour Points of Interest & Landmarks • Religious Sites • Monuments & Statues
This place seemed to be only occupied by locals, nuns and monks. We bought some birds from the locals at the bottom in a small cage, taking them to the top we released them before the Buddha as an offering for good Karma. A truly beautiful experience and something we all felt was more honest and genuinely culturally accurate instead of tourist centered.See more..
