We were 2 flights of 8 golfers teeing off in the morning. A short distance from Pattaya city, we took half an hour to reach the clubhouse. As expected of all premier golf clubs in Thailand, reception and registration was seamless. Caddies and golf carts were waiting and queing up at the tee box. As a popular course, it was quite crowded, with mostly foreign visitors like ourselves. Although buggy was restricted on track, the caddies make our game enjoyable with their tireless efforts to locate your golf ball and fetching us the correct club. Most of the caddies were experienced and were helpful in advising on distances and the line of the putt. Course condition was near perfect in mid March. We had an enjoyable game and was worth the cost of playing here.See more..
We have played Plutaluang multiple times over the past years. It has become our "home" course for several reasons. The green fees remain on the lower end for Pattaya area courses. The course offers 36 holes and one can mix and match. The layout is natural, as a golf course should be, not manicured & pedicured. Over the years course maintenance has progressively improved - fairways, bunkers, greens are all in decent shape. As befits a navy course there is an abundance of water and the hazards make many holes a challenge forcing lay ups and conundrums re club selection. The electric carts are in best condition of any nearby course. (On a few courses the carts are suspect, even dangerous). I would like to hire my regular Plutaluang caddie to accompany me when I play other venues. She is reliable, knowledgeable and superb at reading greens. It ain't an easy course. It's only a few years since Pattana Golf and Country Club first opened but it keeps getting better.every year. The clubhouse remains the same with extended catering of meals from early morning to late evening. There have been subtle changes to improve the golf course and the management has changed as well. The new team have take a big decision and banned groups of more than four playing. This allows them to offer a start time every eight minutes. This is great as every other club allows groups of five and six golfers to play and hold up everyone else on the course.. As visitors, we wish that every other golf course in Thailand would ban groups of more than four playing together. Thailand is the only country we know that allows this bizarre way of playing golf that slows play down to a crawl!See more..

This golf club is located just off Route 331 above Amata City and is just over one hours drive from Pattaya. It is the best value in the low season as their golf package includes green fee, caddy and golf cart, for each visitor. All for Bahts 1150 or about UK£25 per person. The course is quite challenging with some good long par 5 holes and some cheeky little par 3's. The caddies are well trained and money has been spent recently updating and extending the clubhouse and there is a good little restaurant. Great value for money mid-week or weekend.See more..

This is a good test of golf. Any golfer who has played it would tell you that it’s a 2 part course, there’s getting to the greens and then there’s the greens. They are very sloppy. If you have not played it before you will be carding 3 and 4 putts. The layout and condition is good. Golfers will always belly ache about aspects of a course when they’re playing badly, this course is designed to expose those weaknesses. Remember this is holiday golf so enjoy the heat, the company of your caddies, give every putt due consideration and simply enjoy the day.See more..
