Best place to visit in Pattaya
We went to Sanctuary temple from Bangkok Don Mueang airport dropped by the temple before staying at central pattaya. We booked a registered taxi and the cost for the trips costed baht2,200 including taking lunch at the rest area. Temple's admission ticket is baht500, and it is open only every hour. Say you come at 12.15, you will join the 1:00 trip. The entrance is managed very orderly and admission ticket has included the tour guide fee. We needed to wear helmet when we entered the temple bcos it was on construction. After the tour guide completed the tour, we will have free time to take pictures. Lots of nice photo spots inside. They have elephants for rent if you would like to ride it. Really a worthwhile place to visit, easily we spent 2 hours there.

    Enlightening and stunning Sanctuary
This temple/museum is one of the most stunning structures that I've seen. It is entirely made out of wood without metal nails. This is an ongoing construction project, so everyone is required to wear a helmet. It is said that the Sanctuary was built during the tensions of the cold war and the owner wanted to enlighten people about Buddhist and Hindu values to achieve peace. We were with a tour group, so I'm not sure about the admission price, but to take advantage of the cost, focus on the intricate and beautiful carvings that highlight the Thai art of woodcarving. You can see artisans at work. Before you go, read up about the significance of some of the carvings to give your time there more value. For example, the Southern Hall is about parental love and love starts with the family. An elevator is available and there are ramps inside for the disabled. Some steps were steep. There are other activities like elephant rides and areas to lounge and have lunch. Proper attire like covered legs and shoulders is required.
