This is not a museum in the traditional sense: the museum itself is actually the house that Victor Horta built for himself in the late 1890s, which truly exemplifies the Art Nouveau style that made Horta into one of the most acclaimed architects in Belgium.See more..

This was a rather interesting museum. Not a whole lot to see, but a good way to spend an hour. The staff are lovely and friendly. The chocolatier was just amazing. He answered all our questions and gave us quite a few free tasters. The shop is cute with a good choice of chocolate options from around the world. However, the cafe was pretty lackluster. I would recommend it, and the chocolates were truly delicious!See more..

4.0Musee de la medecine(10 reviews) - Do not bother if you are not fluent in French Tuesday: 1:00 PM - 4:00 PM Spent 2-3 hours Speciality Museums • Science Museums
I would have loved to give this place a great review. It is a well laid out museum for anyone interested in medicine and medical history. Plenty of interesting exhibits and lots of historical information. I am a doctor. But I am not fluent in French. I was given a paper copy of a translation from an audioguide probably from sometime in the last millennium (we did not see any offers of audioguides in any language today). It caused more irritation and confusion than help and guidance, so I relied mostly on the little written notices by all the objects, and my extremely limited knowledge of French to learn anything from this. The references in the paper were mostly either wrong, did not corresond to anything we could find, or the number it referred to did not exist. My husband, who is not a doctor, but very interested in history, gave up less than half way. The sponsors listed are among the biggest pharmaceutical companies on the planet. They can afford better than this if they care at all.See more..
You have to call ahead to arrange a visit. They are housed in an old army barracks building, and have a total of three floors of exhibits. It focuses on the federal police, but also has some local police & military police artifacts. Don't miss the separate building that has a collection of vehicles and a police helicopter.See more..
Go to St. Guidon tram/metro stop in Anderlecht. After visiting the Maison d'Erasme (Erasmus House), cross the street to the Maurice Carem complex. Be sure to visit the two houses of the Béguinage, where from medieval times to the 19th century, single, orphaned, or widowed women led a communal life protected from the ravages of a hostile society. Beautifully-preserved in a quiet urban garden.See more..
Off the beaten path, got to know of their existence through the museum pass. Not your ordinary collection, from the naive to the absolutely weird and everything in between. Some forms of expression contain a lot of pain. A small facility for children. Worth a detour.See more..
