This is a museum inside a building that holds several. They're all worth visiting but I wouldn't do more than two on the same day. Can be quite overwhelming. The Magritte Museum is an obvious go-to if you want to see the works and works that led to works, the life history, etc. Personally if I had time for only one Magritte Museum I'd recommend visiting his home only a short tram ride from the centre away. But if you have time, both are rewarding in their way. I mean, if you like art and you're in Brussels, this is the man to immerse yourself in.See more..

The René Magritte Museum occupies the house in which the Belgian surrealist painter worked nearly 24 years of his life. Beside the apartment where the painter lived, a biographical exhibition is spread on the two upper floors. Since 2019, a new wing presents a selection of 200 works of Belgian abstract Art. Don't get this museum mixed up with the Magritte Museum (collection of paintings), which is a wing of the Fine Arts Museum (City center).See more..

4.5Musee Constantin Meunier(50 reviews) - At last, a living museum, thanks to his guard ! Tuesday: 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM, 1:00 PM - 5:00 PM Art Museums
Meunier museum is too small to show the big collection of works of the Belgian artist famous for his monumental bronze sculptures, whose some are exhibited in the former Meunier's workshop, at the bottom of the museum. Figures of the heroic labour of the industrial revolution, tribute to the popular classes of the late nineteenth century ... with something sensual inherited from Rodin ... This worths already a four on Tripadvisor. The last star is given to the fantastic museum guard. Richard Boterman (Butterman in English) learnt the Meunier's life and explains it with great verve, making this place a living world, joyful, filled with something very Belgian. Most of museums are places of solitude, where the guards are unfriendly (aaah, the Bozar!), Mr. Boterman makes this museum an oasis in Brussels. And moreover, it's free !See more..
