Very very good

Where comics come to life! Brussels Comics Museum will immerse you in a private collection of figurines from the world of Belgian comics (Tintin, Spirou, The Smurfs...), American comics (Spider-Man, Batman...) and many others. You will also find these characters in other formats: with video games, explanatory videos or during a projection of cartoons in a period movie theater. This immersive, sound-enhanced tour will appeal to the whole family. It will bring back many memories for adults and will also be suitable for the youngest: the visit is easily accessible, with very visual and colorful displays. It is located in Brussels, behind the large statue of the White Smurf in the Horta Gallery on level -1.

A really quirky, hidden museum of figurines
This museum is part of the Brussels Central train station complex in the basement of a disused shopping mall. From the outside- look for the giant Smurf on a Mushroom, from inside the station- the museum can be accessed from the lower level of the non metro side of the station. The entry is a little expensive- €8 for an adult but I did enjoy watching the old animated movies and seeing all the figurines. There are very few explanations of who the different characters are and which series they are from in English. I only recognised Smurfs, Tintin and Asterix figurines. Every label and sign really needs to be written in French and English and there was no handout to explain how the collection came together or to highlight important elements of the display. There was a shop/ library like space at the end of the exhibition but i was not interested in it so did not explore it carefully.
