    Spent 2-3 hours Trams

Line 87 from Rahnsdorf [on Berlin S3 S-Bahn] to the small comunity of Woltersdorf has it's own unique tram system operated by vintage trams, You can buy a ticket in Berlin that covers area C or buy one from the tram driver. Trams run every 20 minutes or so through the woods, and local villages, past the depot to the terminus at Woltersdorf where you will find cafes, a lake, a canal with a swing bridge. Look out for pastings of the trams on various buildings along the route. The line dates from 1913 and is meant to be the smallest community in Europe and maybe in the world with it's own tram syste, We went on aSunday, two trams were running but the depot is only open on weekdays and I'm not sure if you can gain admission but they have a number of trams there. This tram line is a great experience. The regular zone C ticket will grant you the trip which takes about half an hour. It's a laid back journey through the woods just out of Berlin. A must-see for train lovers. Plus: It's the only narrow gauge tram in the Berlin area. See more..
