    First time in Berlin, we wondered if it was worth the bother of trying to get to Hoppegarten races, thinking it would be a lot of trouble getting there.It was rather easy! straight through on line S5 to Hoppegarten (end of the line) and then a mere 300 yards from the station. (you need a zone c ticket on the train) Throughout the day there was a German band on in the bandstand and there was a very relaxed feel ,thankfully no stag do's or gangs on the lash.We paid 10 euros to get in, it was 25 to get a seat in the grandstand.It was easy to get a drink or food between races and the viewing was great as it was not that crowded.
