We paddled in the wetlands of the Spree, with boats rented from Richter Bootsverleih / Kajaksports and with a very, very professional tour guide. To be recommended! We were a large group, most of us inexperienced paddlers, who set out to discover the wetlands of the river Spree around Lübbenau in the Spreewald. We rented our boats from Richter. You can do canoeing on your own, of course, but being a group of almost 20 persons, we hired a guide. He was very professional, a good psychologist (for the less talented paddlers amongst us) and very knowledgeable about the nature reserve Spreewald (he was from Lübbenau). Whenever you go to the Spreewald (which I can recommend), look for Richter to rent a boat. And - booking a tour guide is a good idea, particularly, in case you are a group. Wir haben diesen Park auf der Fahrradtour entdeckt. Schnell die Schuhe ausgezogen und ab ging es. Man konnte mit den Füßen verschiedene Untergründe fühlen, Gewichte heben und mit Kreide zeichnen. Nicht alles gelang auf Anhieb. Der Eintritt in den Park ist kostenlos. Es gibt einen Imbiss mit allerlei Angeboten.See more..
Highly recommend! We had a fantastic 3 hour round trip boat tour through the Spreewald. Absolutely stunning scenery and fabulous commentary (in German). The place also has free parking available for guests and a very clean WC. The boat was really nice and you can purchase a beer/wine to enjoy during your tour. They also have paddle boats / kayaks available for rent. We will definitely be returning for another trip! See more..

We decided early Sunday morning to go for a canoeing tour on the havel - The Kanuverleih and Pension Wallapoint in Mildenberg - Zehdenick is one option to go. We gave the team a call and asked the usual "stupid" questions (we are no outdoor activists, canoeing experts, nature enthusiasts, ... rather some office life trained towners with vast urban exposure), ... and had been surprised by the helpful and understanding input and advice by the team. We went for the Bieber tour in a large canoe, which turned out to be the best we could do on a sunny and warm Sunday. The place is easy to reach from Berlin (pls allow approx. 90 min for travel to avoid rush and take advantage of the local bakery to add to your picknick) - boat rental and proceedings were quick, tour briefing easy and we took off with the habour master to the starting point: Biwakplatz an der Schleuse Kannenburg (Templiner Gewässer). With a really good briefing how best, what to avoid, where to stop / what to watch and look for, .. (ok - a canoe on a fairly smooth river is not rocket science but still,... there are challenges) we had a most enjoyable and relaxing Sunday (allow 5 hours plus for the tour - this includes a stop at the Alter Hafen Gaststätte, .. for some food and "mineral water") on a 17km long ride down the river, we watched wild life, believed to spot the Bieber, saw many birds (Eisvogel, Bussard etc.) and enjoyed the easy ride in the boat down the river! The team at the Kanuverleih is doing their very best to help and support. And the drinks served at return of the canoes are chilled and taste great! Die Kanuvermietung liegt in einem Gebiet mit viele Seeen und Kanäle. Die Bootsauswahl ist groß und man wird sehr gut eingewiesen bzw. mit einer Orientierungs-Karte ausgestattet. Ich empfehle den Kanal in halblinker Richtung (ab Abfahrtsort) zu befahren (siehe Foto).See more..
Om man ska paddla kanot i lübbens fina områden så rekommenderar jag starkt detta ställe att hyra kanot på. Har varit där ett par år nu och åker dit med tåget från Berlin för att paddla i några timmar. Bra priser,otroligt trevlig personal och väldigt mysigt och lugnt ställe att bara hänga på. Ingen engelsk talande personal men allt löser sig ändå då personalen är otroligt trevlig och fin.See more..

In unserem Wochenendarrangement war eine Kahnfahrt für ca. 1,5 - 2 Stunden für das Bootshaus am Leineweber enthalten. Von unserem Hotel konnten wir in nur wenigen Minuten den kleinen Kahnanleger erreichen.
Jetzt, in der kühleren Jahreszeit, wurde für den Gastrobetrieb ein beheiztes "Zelt" für die Gäste zur Verfügung gestellt. Dort kann man vor seiner Abfahrt oder auch danach etwas Regionales (Hefeplinse z. Bsp.) essen oder aber prickelnde bzw. warme Getränke genießen.
Auch jetzt zu "CoronaZeiten" lief dort alles problemlos.
Das "einchecken" an Bord verlief völlig reibungslos. Die Boote waren nicht mehr so voll wie man es aus anderen Zeiten kennt. Aber man kann sich wie gehabt ein kühles oder warmes Getränk (Glühwein/Tee in der kühleren Jahreszeit) vor der Abfahrt bestellen und es unterwegs genießen.
Das Wetter war super und unser Fährmann hatte immer "was zu sagen". Er hat auch viel Wissenswertes über den Spreewald an uns weitergegeben und Fragen beantwortet. Auf dem Rückweg haben sich dann 2 Ferienkinder aus Burg etwas Taschengeld verdient und unseren Kahn inkl. Gedicht aufsagen durchgeschleust. Dafür gab es dann von den Gästen außer Beifall auch einige Euros für was auch immer... :)
Und wer das lieber für sich alleine machen möchte, kann ja auch ein Paddelboot dort ausleihen und die Wasserwege, die nicht unter Naturschutz stehen, selbst erkunden. Kann vorher online bequem erledigt werden.
