    Gorgeous Palace & Gardens
This is a gorgeous place to visit. The palace interior is a feast to the eyes both in color and design. The visit could be more organized hence my 4 stars. There should be a person at the entrance guiding people to maps and a QR code for the free audio guide (these are right at the entrance after security and easily missed). There are no signs for the direction of the visit and there are visitors going in every direction possible (coming and going) which makes it difficult to get a sense of order in the place. Buy tickets online to avoid the long queue at the ticket booth (which is away from the entrance). Here they enforce entry time slots, so make sure you join the queue on your designated time slot, or you will be turned away at the entrance. Non flash photography for personal use is allowed here, and the staff is kind and helpful if you need directions. There is a cafe and a few toilets throughout the palace and grounds. Opening hour during the week is the least busy if you prefer to avoid big crowds and tour guides. We recommend you take advantage of the free audio guide as it will help you visit the palace in order, so you don’t miss anything. We spent 2.5 hours here. Enjoy….

    Still worth seeing
Plenty of other visitors have written of the history and beauty of this site and we can only concur; in fact it is better restored than the equally famous Alhambra Palace, in Granada. However, our second visit, here, prompts us to mention a few changes to the logistics of actually seeing it. The palace, on the first floor is no longer available to visitors and that is a great shame. We were very surprised by the length of the queues to purchase entrance tickets, at what we thought would be a quieter time of the year. There are only two staff issuing tickets and the process, which involves choosing a time to enter and printing your details on the ticket, is extremely slow, even by Spanish standards. Each tourist attraction, in Andalusia, has its own rules of admission...days and times open, discounts, etc...and this venue operates its discounts according to nationality. Therefore, pensioners must be aware that they are not automatically granted a discount; English pensioners, for example, are now not in the EU and even if they have Spanish residency, they still have to pay the full price of 13.50 Euros.. Well worth it, of course, but better to be warned. Security is tight and screening takes a little more time, before you are allowed into the Alcázar. Irritating negatives apart, you can't really visit Seville without seeing this amazing place.
