- 3.5 Het Vrouwtje van Stavoren (72 reviews)
-Somewhat underwhelming statue in nice setting
Monuments & Statues
The myth of the lady of Stavoren is a classical tale of how hubris will lead to a fall. The associated statue is rather mediocre in the otherwise pleasant harbour of the ancient Frisian city. Coincidentally. the restaurant with the same name nearby is pretty mediocre as well. See more..

- 3.5 Leliehof (21 reviews)
-Sauna/Wellness resort
Spas
See more..
- 3.5 Midgetgolfbaan El Dorado (13 reviews)

This is a pretty undutch sight. There are actually some kind of hilly things here in the neighbourhood and old forests. -... een bijzondere fontein ...
Fountains
See more..

- 3.5 Whale Fountain (7 reviews)
-Unusual and lovely
Spent < 1 hour Fountains
Leeuwarden in Friesland was European City of Culture in 2018, and as part of that initiative one of the ideas was to install a fountain in each of the 11'cities' (some of them are actually little more than villages). The one in Harlingen is in the harbour, and it is a beautiful sculpture of a whale which blows water through its blow hole. It really does make you think of the fragility of nature and our marine environment. it was definitely one of the best of all the fountains (we saw them all). See more..

- 3.0 Boerderijrecreatie (5 reviews)
-Enjoying a farmers campsite
Spent 2-3 hours Farms
We have spent the last 2 weeks with our tent at the farm campsite Bjusterbaerlik. Our experiences are very positive. It is a small, beautiful, quiet campsite with lots of space. The activities that sometimes take place in the area around the farm are a welcome change. The facilities are not luxurious but very functional. The managers are very hospitable and you have the opportunity during "coffee drinking with the farmer", which takes place outside every working day, to learn more about farm life. From the campsite you have a beautiful view of the farmlands. The Tjeukermeer, with its own campsite entrance, is within walking distance. For us a reason to come back for sure.
