A comfortable cafe & bar
We'd planned to visit the bar for the advertised 10 beers on tap to see what was on offer. Instead we found a comfortable bar with a relaxed atmosphere and a mix of tourists and locals. The two bartenders we talked to were friendly, and when it was quiet, checked to see if we liked the music and offered "off the beaten path" tips for places to go on the island. The beers ranged from the ubiquitous Heineken to the lovely and dangerous Gouden Carolus Classic. Or as Hans750 said, "a nice cafe to relax...." we went back several times and felt welcome each time.

Be aware of the happy hour offering, it sucks!
We passed by this pub and noticed the sign outside which advertises that the first beer is half price between 5-6 pm upon showing the key of you bicycle. (See posted sign in Dutch) We ordered our beer before 6pm. When we asked for the bill, it was after 6... In not so many words we were told that we had not SHOWED our key before 6pm and therefore the offer did not stand. Apparently this was some sort of a joke...... We were also told many tourists fell in the same trap. We were not amused. So please be aware, when you visit this place between 5-6 pm SHOW YOUR BICYCLE KEY AND PAY AT ONCE! Or perhaps, avoid this customer unfriendly place.
