We visited the Red Lotus Lake, which is about 40-45 mins drive from Udon Thani city centre, in January 2020. There are a few area to take the boat ride, and we think the old jetty is better location as there’s less crowd and the water lilies are pretty close to the shore. Try to arrive before sunrise and you will get to enjoy the amazing sunrise with lots of pink water lilies. Small boat cost THB300 for an hour (for two people).
