At sunset, on the India/Bangladesh border crossing in Agartala there is a synchronised flag lowering ceremony by the Indian and Bangladeshi border forces, and if you can get your timing right, it is well worth seeing. It lasts 15-20 minutes, and they put chairs out for spectators. Both forces wear uniforms with peacock head dresses and conduct the ceremony with precision, the orders being "sung" out simultaneously by both sides. We visited from the Indian side, but you can also visit it from the Bangladesh side. The only other place this occurs is at the Wagah crossing point on the India/Pakistan border. During the 1971 when Bangadesh got the freedom from Pakisthan, India gave full support and Tripura provide the shelter for thousands of refugees and Banladesh freedom fighters. This park has shown the tortures and struggle faced by Bangadesh and India's support. There are statue of Smt Indira Ganghi & Mr Mujibar Rahman with one memorial statue. The garden has different statue of freedom fights. Nicely decorated garden with nice water base and bridges. Different wall scripts describing the freedom fight stories. I with my wife visited unikoti on 21st march 2021. We stayed at Dharmanagar and from dharmanagar it is around 45 minutes journey. The road conditions are bad and hilly, so a good car is required to visit the site. It is better to visit during winter as it is difficult to climb steps in summer. Do not enter the jungle as it is not safe. A must visit site for those who r interested in heritage sites. See more..

In March, I visited Tripura for the first time and that took me to visit the only Shaktipeeth which is situated at this farthest most corner of India. I traveled through local sharing jeep kind of vehicle from Agartala via NeerMahal (Water Palace). The temple is very famous among the Tripuri people as the abode of Mata Shakti. Its built in local temple style on a high platform with quite an open space around it. Nearby is the legendary lake through which many Sanatan Dharma legends are associated. Anyone visiting Tripura should definitely make a trip down here. Just keep yourself ready to overcharged by the local autowalas. See more..

Devtamura, locally called chhabimura, is situated on the bank of river Gomoti, 82 km away from Agartala. Nearest city udaipur is 30 km. The carving images date back to 15-16th century. The biggest idol of maa Durga in rock carving is about 20 feet high on 90 degree steep rocky wall. The hill range is covered with thick jungle. The carving images can be seen only by boat journey through the dense forest. There is also a cave. Traveller may have a thrilling experience. But due to picnic season it was very crowded from where we departed for boating. Boat service is conducted by tourism department. Due to crowd we had to wait 11 am to 3:30 pm to avail boat. The toilet was ill maintained. Last but not least, the jamatiya (local tribal community) hotels near chhabimura offers a healthy and tasty lunch with local and fresh fish. One can satisfy there tastebuds with the fish items just obtained from gomoti river. See more..

We had a pleasant and enjoyable experience traveling with Udaipur Taxi tour. Absolutely no issues. We spent 4 days in Udaipur covering nathdwara and Kumbhalgarh, and was travelling with 3yr old. There is a lake in front of the temple known as Kamalasagar which amplifies the beauty of the area. The temple is beautiful and very well maintained. The atmosphere around oozes of serenity and divinity. The road leading to the temple has a beautiful artwork called “Alpona” which is kind of a rangoli but with rice paste; really very pleasing to the eyes.
