1. 5.0 Basilica Of Our Lady Of The Mount Mary (1 review)

   They have a series of Sunday masses at various time so I was able to come by for an early morning mass. It is located at the Southern end of Bandra, close to the fort. The Basilica is quite large, and there is a beautiful grotto of Our Lady across the road. They do close it up at night and open it in the morning. The grotto has a set of stairs which take you up to the statue of Our Lady, and it also has a nice view of the Basilica. I came through one of the side gates to get to mass. The basilica is long and has beautiful murals on the walls. The murals are interspaced with the Stations of the Cross. The far end of the Basilica houses another grotto with a statue of Our Lady at the end. You can see the statue from outside the gate since the front doors seem always to be open. I was pleasantly surprised that the mass was in English. There were also students present, sitting on the front pews of the basilica. It was a nice place to have a mass. See more..
