- 5.0 Grass Routes Private Day Tours (82 reviews)
-Special tour of Chattisgarh and Odisha
Thursday: 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM City Tours • Private Tours • Stand Up Paddleboarding
We are just back from our second visit to the area organised by Grass Routes and it was just as good as the first. We ventured into Chattisgarrth this time, having started in Odisha. We visited lots of tribal villages and saw and photographed everyday life there as well as being treated to several traditional dance displays. We were thoroughly looked after by our driver and guide so all we had to do was enjoy the visit. We stayed in two heritage homestays which were small heritage palaces where the visit is very personal with the royal family. In both cases they will tell you all about their area and take you out and about. Claire and Pulak of Grass Routes do very well in determining what it is you want from your visit and make absolutely sure you get it - you aren't fobbed off with a fixed itinerary which doesn't suit. They also provided a very good quality vehicle and a most helpful and safe driver. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend them. See more..

The temple is the centre of attraction of Dwarka city and is one of the major Chardham in India which is of special significance for Hindus. The temple conducts various aartis from early morning 6:30 am and closes at 9:30pm sharp. All electronic gadgets, mobiles, shoes have to be essentially deposited for safe keep before entering the temple. A small walk inside the temple will take you to many smaller temples of various deities. It is worth it. You can buy prasad, gift items, etc from within the temple or outside the temple, where bargaining a hard way is must. All it needs is about 2 hours. See more..
- 4.5 Annai Indira Gandhi Road Bridge (643 reviews)
-An Engineering Marvel
Thursday: 12:00 AM - 11:59 PM Spent 1-2 hours Bridges
Annai Indira Gandhi or Pamban Bridge connects Rameswaram Island with the main land. The Annai Indira Gandhi Road bridge was built right next to the Pamban Rail Bridge, connecting Rameshwaram to NH 49 on the mainland & is at a distance of 10 Kms from Rameshwaram town. The bridge was opened for traffic in 1914 and is one of the prime places to visit in Rameshwaram. It is the longest sea bridge in South India with a length of nearly 2.40 km and stands as a fine example of Indian architecture. The bridge was constructed with sufficient elevation for smooth passage of ships under it. The nearby islands and parallel old rail bridge can easily be viewed from this road bridge This bi-lane bridge allows you to glimpse the trains crossing the railway bridge as you drive over the bridge. The construction of this bridge has left many engineers wondering as it stands tall and strong even today.. See more..

- 4.5 Adam's Bridge - Rama Setu (164 reviews)
-Life can be fulfilling !!
Spent More than 3 hours Bridges • Geologic Formations
I said in another review, you may not be allowed to go till the end point (or the actual start point) as the sand is very very soft. But I was determined to be there from the time I set my eyes on travelling to the Ram Setu. I so I did. Standing at the actual start point and realising that there was a bridge (in fact) put all my beliefs to test - who cares what the world says - it is immaterial - what mattered was that I was there and saw it with my own eyes and this life. I say that there was Ram Setu and there is still some left of it. Who built it, how the stones got together and floated, I may never know (may I don't want to) - but I am content with the fact that I am definitely among those very few living souls who reached the actual start point and came back redefined. - 4.0 Beyt Dwarika (554 reviews)
-A reminder of Divine freindship
Islands
It's a small island about 4/5 km in sea. A small township with a small temple dedicated to Lord Krishna where he supposedly spent his personal life while ruling his kingdom of Dwarka. This place is supposed to be the meeting place of Lord Krishna with his childhood friend Sudama, who came with three fistful of popped rice as a gift for him. Hence people donate rice here expecting Lord Krishna to bestow them their wishes. The temple is reached by a ferry ride which can either be a shared common ride with hundreds of other visitors, or can be in a chartered boat for your family. The price for charter is 4500₹ to and fro. This helps in speeding up your visit, so that you can see more in less time. Dhanushkodi, used to be one of the famous tourist spots with it's beaches, church, temples etc but after the cyclone hit the island in 1964, it completely ruined the island and people were devastated and had to leave. . After the cyclone, few bits and pieces of the church are left out. Few years later, people started visiting the island and some tourists were taking away the bricks from the remains. After so much of struggle from the locals, now the government have put up a banner stating "No one has the rights to break this stones, this is an offence and punishable". . -Agnitheertham and 22 Kunda at Rameshwaram
Bodies of Water • Religious Sites
try to reach as early as possible as Rameshwaram temple closes at 1PM and truly it takes more than 45 min to finish the Holy water bathing. We missed Darshan and we came back at 3:30PM when temple opens. But the best is to see post bathing To start with 1. Sea Dip : around 15 min 2. Walking from Sea shore to 22 Kundas: 10 min 3. Heckling with the touts agreeing or avoiding is meaning less : just pay them 100 Rs per person and hire one.. it shirtens the time for queue 4. every Kunda ensure that the bag etc has been kept away from body so that they do not get wet 5.avoid taking mobile etc or take them in a polythene bage 6. after all Kunda bathing is over there is a separate dress change area 7. Rush to the temple after dress change Happy Visit See more..
