  1. 5.0 Taj Mahal (32.0k reviews) from $11.00
    - Seeing is believing - Taj Mahal is magnificent and majestic
Friday: Spent More than 3 hours Historic Sites • Points of Interest & Landmarks • Architectural Buildings
    Taj Mahal image
Who hasn't heard of the Taj Mahal -the symbol of love. Situated in Agra, this fantastic structure of white marbel is a mausoleum of Shahjahan and his beloved wife Mumtaz Mahal. I recently visited this place and the govt has really made a beautiful walkway called the Taj walkway outside of the main entrance. There are electric buggies that can carry tourists from the main road through this walkway to and fro. The entrance requires tickets that you can purchase online as well. Shoes are not allowed in on and in the mausoleum area, so a shoe cover is provided inside in 10rs only per pair. Please don't buy from outside as they sell in 20rs or so. As always, in the walkway and the area outside near the Taj, you will find plenty of guides annoying you to take their services and also the local shop keepers forcing you to buy stuff. Other than these disturbances, it's an absolutely amazing experience to witness this marbel beauty. Try and go early morning around 6.30 or 7 to experience minimum crowd inside. See more..

    Bodies of Water
    Ganges River image
This is really a gift to be here with family and intake the real beauty and observe the greatness of Ganges. During the morning time (around 8-10), of you happen to get a chance, do go for a boat ride.. You could see numberous birds flying here and there and circling out boats.. Neatly maintained and really much effort is taken by the government to keep the ghats clean and good. For boat ride ( motor boat) the cost will be around 1500-2000 for about 1 hour.. It varies depending upon the season and rush.. During Dev Diwali timings, the cost would go to peak (around 7000-10000).. Divine experience and in explainable feeeling.. No words to express.. If you happen to visit here and see the great Ganges, then do understand just one thing "YOUR LIFE IS BLESSED" See more..

  10. 4.5 Bara Imambara (1.523 reviews)
    - Bara Imambara Dec 2022
Architectural Buildings • Monuments & Statues
    Bara Imambara image
Our Savaari cab took us next to Bara Imambara complex. We had about an hour of sunlight left and the sound decision that we took was to complete Bara Imambara and not do the others and try to come back to it. Bara Imambara was quite something with its large halls without any pillars. Our private guide was knowledgeable and gave us the right context. The Bhulbhulaiya or The Labarynth is one of the most intricate man-made creations I have seen. We walked through pitch dark corridors and reached junction points made up of four roads of which only one was right. There were different groups in the maze and we were able to come out only because we had the services of a guide. The bawli or step well was awe inspiring and hats off to the engenuity of the builders of that era. See more..
  11. 4.5 Assi Ghat (1.259 reviews)
    - This ghat is main ghat due to its versatility.
    Points of Interest & Landmarks
    Assi Ghat image
This ghat is main ghat due to its versatility. You may come early morning 5AM to witness the ganga arti and then choose to have ganga snan across the river (boats can take you there for 50 rupees per person for a large group). There is one room built for women to change across the river where you take the bath, however, no proper changing room. A changing room at the ghat side is occupied by some vendor and there is no administration. Ramps are under construction and may get available soon for better accessibility. We also took a boat ride for evening ganga arti at dashashwamedh ghat where the boat will take you until manikarnaka ghat and return. They took 200 rupees per person. View is spectacular of the ghats and arti (in case of less crowd). See more..

Panch Mahal - Fatehpur Sikri image
Fatehpur Sikri is a very good place to visit but make sure you have an excellent guide with you to know the intricate details in the structure. Our guide was Rahul Sharma and he did a fantastic job in explaining the details of the structure. He is very knowledgeable and humble. His father is also a guide at the monument and we had the opportunity of meeting him during our tour with a different set of tourists. The father-son's interest in history is evident from how much information they possess. Was a great experience! Try to see if you can get the Sharmas as your guide. See more..

    - Full of energy!!
Friday: 4:00 AM - 8:15 PM Spent More than 3 hours Religious Sites
    ISKCON Vrindavan image
The Sri Sri Krishna Balaram Mandir, situated in the Raman Reti area of Vrindavan, holds a special significance for devotees of the International Society for Krishna Consciousness. This grand temple represents the fulfilled dream of Srila Prabhupada, founder acharya of ISKCON, who wished to construct a temple of unparalleled beauty for the worship of the transcendental brothers Krishna and Balaram in the same village where they played more than five thousand years ago. Prabhupada directly oversaw all aspects of design and construction and personally called the Lord to come and accept the worship of His devotees from around the world. He said "Lord Balaram is the source of spiritual strength, and I have built this temple just to give strength to the devotees". Today, the Sri Sri Krishna Balaram Mandir is a booming spiritual center. Every day of the week pilgrims flood in great numbers from nearby Delhi and all over the world. In fact, the large green government signs posted over the highway turn off to Vrindavan only give directions to two temples: Banke Bihari and ISKCON. Visitors to the temple first pass under the brilliant white marble archway of Srila Prabhupadas samadhi, an architectural wonder of winding peacock stairways and intricately carved walls and domes. They then enter through the gigantic wooden temple doors and find themselves transported to the spiritual world upon seeing the palace of Krishna Balaram with its sunken black and white checkered marble courtyard, beautified by a living tamal tree. The music of the kartals, mrdanga and sweet harmonium of the 24 hour kirtaneers enters the heart, and everyone, including young and old, spontaneously raise their arms and dance in ecstasy. Ascending the courtyard steps, visitors approach the effulgent gorgeous forms of the source of all beauty, the presiding Lords Sri Sri Gaura Nitai, Krishna Balaram and Radha Shyamasundar. Standing transfixed with open eyes and folded hands, pilgrims drink in the dazzling... See more..

    Points of Interest & Landmarks
    Triveni Sangam Allahabad image
The place where 3 Holy Rivers meet is called Triveni Sangam - Ganga, Yamuna and unseen Saraswati. Due to Magha Mela there was lot of rush and hence I visited in the evening though recommended in the morning where you can see Ganga and Yamuna with 2 distinct colours merging beautifully at the Sangam. Nowadays Ganga aarti is also performed though in a small way after sundown. The statue of Ganga Maa is also located close by. Near the Sangam is Allahabad Fort and many Temples especially the Bade Hanuman Mandir where Hanuman ji is in sleeping position., which is very rare. Due to Magha mela hundreds of tents and temporary bridges have been constructed, perhaps reused from the Kumbha Mela event held in 2019. See more..
