    - A trip to remember..
    Thursday: 12:00 AM - 11:59 PM Valleys
    Spiti Valley image
Firstly we travelled to Himachal while it was raining and we witnessed a lot of landslides. So we started our trip from Kasol with Sonu bhai. He was at our hotel on time. He welcomed us very nicely and was very polite with us. He drove us around from Kasol via the entire Spiti valley to Chandra Tal lake and back to Chandigarh. This was a 12 days trip and he drove us to as many places as possible and was not only an amazing driver but also a great guide. He patiently waited for us at every pit stop and also took the pain to drive us extra miles because of the landslides just so that we don't miss out anything on our itinerary. I would definitely recommend him to anyone thinking about travelling to Himachal (Spiti). Leaving his number here - 9816378229. Hope you'll find this helpful. See more..

Beautiful snow covered mountains. It is too cold at the pass and with kids it was difficult to stay for even for 15-20 mins. Buy/rent snow suits, boots and gloves beforehand. Leave early in the morning or else the road to the pass is very crowded. We left from Manali around 10 a.m. and just managed to reach the pass at 4 p.m. Leaving early morning at 6 would be better. The pass opens only from May end to November and best to visit in June July. By August September most of the snow melts. See more..

There is no vehicular movement on the Ridge and hence one can roam about freely on this vast open space, taking in the views of the Shimla valley on one side and Mall Road on the other. At every place we were provided with resourceful knowledgeable English speaking guide who were with us from the time of arrival at the airport to until departure . our visit was more memorable because of the hospitality and hassle-free arrangement by the Company. 18. 4.5 Hatu Peak (429 reviews)
    - Awesome peak to visit
    Points of Interest & Landmarks
    Hatu Peak image
It is not much visited place I guess during winter since the last 3 kms needs to be on foot, but that is the best part of this place. The trek through snow filled road upto the peak is simply too good. The 2 kms road to the starting point of the 3 Kms trek is very narrow and not advisable to drive your own vehicle unless you have good experience. We took a local cab who charged Rs 800 for round trip. We get snow boots for Rs 200 a pair for the trek and is recommended since the road can be slippery and also keeps your feet warm. The trek of 3 Kms will take around 2 hours and about an hour while you come down. We were told that vehicles go all the way up to the temple during summer. The temple on top is a small and beautiful. Dont miss to have hot tea from Mr Tara Chand who was the lone vendor serving tea and chips and biscuits along with his team of 6 lovely dogs. See more..

  27. 4.0 Solang Valley (3.125 reviews)
    - Snowy experience near to Manali city
Thursday: 7:00 AM - 8:00 PM Spent 1-2 hours Valleys
    Solang Valley image
Our stay (Allure Grand) lied on the way to Solang which was not that far away from our stay. Must say it’s better than Rohtang Pass if you aim to play with snow, have some good scenic photos & must go for romantic couples. You need to hire closed jackets and rubber boots to enjoy snow play & cool weather there. You will find many places in route where you can hire these accessories from 250-350 rupees. It’s preferable to take taxi which can drop you to last point in the valley. We were not that lucky as our driver dropped at the earliest point. We opted not to chose any horse/ motor bike ride and preferred to enjoy some private moments with family. View there is magnificent & breath taking to take family or couple photos. Also got lucky to experience some light snow fall and enjoy fun filled good quality with family. See more..

We saw the falls at the wrong time. It was fully dry. They said the falls will look lovely only in summer once snow melts from mountain tops. The walk to the falls is quite steep.
