Ancient Temple nestled in beautiful forest
Very old ancient temple with its own rich history. Situated b/w a forest, well maintained even after hundreds of tourists turning up each day to seek Hidimba mata blessings. Queues to get inside can be pretty long someday, from inside it looks like an ancient cave structure. Not to miss if you are in Manali or haven’t been there before, located well in the heart of manali, more closer to Old Manali area.

Hidimba Devi temple
Its better to park your car at Mall road parking lot and take auto to this temple as road is narrow and steep where descending local cabbies create challenge. The parking lot is congested and limited. The temple is surrounded with tall pine and deodhar trees which is sight to behold. The temple is old and it feels like entering different era when one is inside. There is Veer Ghatatkoch temple (a tree) which is at walkable distance from Hidimba temple. The walks will take you through place where there are some activites like yak photoshoot, Himachali dress photo shoot etc. Paid washroom facility is available near temple.
