We were a group of 7 friends that did a 5 days / 4 nights itinerary with Elvis. Our expectations were completely blown away and could not have had a better experience. Elvis did a fantastic job arranging a plan that had a combination of rigorous hiking and camping in the jungle, and more relaxed activities and overnight stays in an amazing ecolodge and a treehouse once the group had a bit of fatigue after the more intense first half of the trip. The entire itinerary was extremely well coordinated and planned (you can tell that Elvis has a great crew helping him behind the scenes) so that when we would arrive at our destinations, meals were already prepared, transportation was already waiting for us, sleeping arrangements were ready, etc. And although the coordination was perfect, Elvis was always very accommodating if we wanted to make tweaks to our plans depending on how the group felt and the activities we were in the mood for. Incredible attention to detail throughout the trip – even when sleeping in the middle of the jungle Elvis and his team set up an impressive camp with comfortable hammocks covered by mosquito nets. Elvis has spent his entire life in and around the jungle so his knowledge of the wildlife is second to none. When we arrived at the airport, even the staff was well-familiar with Elvis and warned us that we would be in for a great trip. Already planning to come back in six months to visit during the wet season (dry vs. wet seasons are different experiences) and will undoubtedly be dialing Elvis to lead the way! See more..

This small lake is less than half en hour from Puerto Nariño with a small motor boat. We arrived there with our private guide for 3 days, Avner (Abner), who we recommend a lot. When we enter the lake we were using paddles instead of the motor. We have seen there pink dolphins, however they are seen only for seconds and dive back. We made a short walk on the Lakeshore to see the LA Seiva, a tree with a huge trunk and other vegetation. Then we fish piranhas. In Puerto Nariño my girlfriend (a Colombian chef) cooked these fishes with coconut. Abner helped us find all the necessary ingredients, because there is a way to do things over there. We Went on a 4 day 3 nights trip with ramiro and Lilia and had a very good time. I’m fact it was the best part of our visit to Colombia. We organised everything on WhatsApp, the company replied fast and we were cell informed about everything. Our guides were ramiro and Lilia. Ramiro went with us to the different locations and was all you can hope for in a guide. We had a fantastic 4 days adventure, starting in Leticia with a jungle tour and sleeping a night in a treehouse (fully comfortable), than 3 nights in Puerto Narinho with Gato and Cali, who were the best guides I ever met. It would be hard to list all the adventure we had, so I list the animals only we coud see and even touch some of them: sloth (with kid), monkey, cayman, parrot, dolphine, pink dolphine, pirajna (we cathed them too), pirarucu, kolibri, butterfly etc. I can recommend them with responsibility to anybody, even with small children. My Colombian Amazon tour with Johnny and his team is a trip I will remember forever. We visited in the wet season so navigated the forest by boat at night and day seeing frogs, snakes, iguanas, snakes, sloths, beautiful birds, and PINK DOLPHINS! My dream of visiting the Amazon couldn't have been any better. This trip was one of the best experiences of my life, seeing the pink dolphins, holding a caiman and learning more about the crazy trees in the rainforest and what they can be used for. I went for 5 days and enjoyed every single one of them. One thing I would say: make sure you have your mosquito repellent and are dressed correctly. I was with a 5yo daughter and bff. It was a perfect time. A lot of activities: jungle walking, night walks, sleeping in the jungle (woken up by monkeys), watching pink dolphins, fishing the Amazon, night trips down the river. Still, we had a lot of time to chill and enjoy just being there, swinging in the hammocks. Great, simple and tasty food, there was no problem with vegan diet. We stayed at the Ticuna village at Peru side of the river, and got a very warm welcome. Tomás is a great guide, he took care of everything.For example he organised for us to come back from the camp in the jungle in case my daughter wouldn't like to stay there all night. I didn't ask for that, still, he prepared it all. Instead she enjoyed it a lot, and there was no need for the two of us to come back to the village. Tomás has an incredible knowledge, we were shown and told about so many species of animals and trees, as well as about herbs and poisonous plants. He also told us great stories - local legends, beliefs and traditions. I loved also the respect for the ambient - he wanted to show us animals in their natural habitat, so there were no semi domesticated monkeys or touching sloths. Tomas speaks English, Spanish, Portuguese and several other languages. and has a great sense of humour. I have fallen in love with the jungle and the people that we met there. Aparte, los delfines son super curiosos y como es un espacio solitario salen facilmente.. yo pude verlos salir al menos 5 veces.

Para llegar es facil, se toma un taxi que vale 10 mil a la quebrada yahuarcaca pasando Cazamas y llegando al Castañal. Al cruzar a la izquierda por el aviso de la quebrada, hay un aviso que dice Kasabe Tours con una puerta muy linda en madera. Amazing experience! Everyone who works in the reserve are lovely. Special thank you to Adriana our amazing translator for the trip and Alex who introduced us to the traditions of his people. We were collected from the airport and driven to the reserve which is 11km outside of leitica. In the reserve we stayed one night in a treehouse and two nights in a two-story cabin. Both were lovely and had mosquito nets over the beds. The bathrooms are as you would expect for the middle of the jungle but you don’t have to worry about soap as they give you both soap and towels. The showers are cold but it’s so hot in the jungle we were super happy about this. The food is great! Classic Amazonian and they do cater to food preferences ( one of our group was celiac so couldn’t eat gluten). We did tour 8 with the company and I would highly recommend this to anyone looking to have an unique experience in Amazon. See more..

I had to pray and wait to sleep. The next early morning ... two guides came and brought us breakfast (coffee ummm), a live snake in a bottle and released there, and we started our sport.
