A once-in-a-lifetime experience THANK YOU!!
Sebastián is truly the BEST! He did an amazing job arranging everything to my liking and I honestly couldn't have asked for a better guide. It was a once-in-a-lifetime experience and everything was taken care of. Puerto Nariño is a small but very friendly and beautiful place. The first day we made a jungle hike in the dark where we saw many insects, plants and animals including spiders, frogs and night monkeys. The next day we visited an indigenous tribe where we practiced some of their rituals and learned about their culture and way of life. We drank some of their traditional drinks, made a bracelet and played traditional games. In the afternoon I visited the beautiful island of Mocagua and walked through the rainforest to the monkey sanctuary to learn about the work they do and the different species of monkeys that live there. Then we walked back to the community to enjoy a delicious traditional meal. I highly recommend Conexion Amazonas and again thank you very much for everything Sebastián, can't wait to be back.

Magical experience in the Amazonas
We visited Amazonas just before Christmas and Conexion Amazonas made us have a truly amazing time there. We spent 5 days in total but I had the feeling it was much more time, so many things we did and saw together with Sebastian. It was a very ambitious plan and he did the impossible to make it happen. He is such a nice and friendly person, it was hard to leave him at the end of the trip. And he speaks English. Most of the time I felt like we were 5 friends instead of the 4 we arrived?. From Puerto Nariño (a lovely little village full of charm and tranquility) we explored the Cacao island and San Antonio community, where we went by boat on the same day we arrived. We saw also lake Tarapoto, where the sounds of the birds are just amazing and spent a night in San Martin de Amacayacu, a small community, where we were invited to the party after a local traditional ceremony. From San Martin we went to Mocagua, the monkey reserve and Marasha reserve, which is in Peruvian territory. It is a big reserve but we were the only ones there so it was a very private experience and we could enjoy it just for ourselves. We did piranha fishing, bird watching and kayaking in the lake, where we saw a caiman. Back to Leticia we visited the maloca of a local shaman and we spent the night in Natural Reserve of Taninboca, where we had so much fun climbing the trees by ropes and doing the zip lines. Spending the night in a house in the forest with no neighbors was super nice. It was like sleeping in a tent but much more protected and comfortable. Just before our flight we went to Tabatinga in Brazil for a caipirinha and some shopping. Big thanks to Sebastian and I hope to be able to go back again. Highly recommend!
