3.5Qilou Snack Street(51 reviews) - All things food under one roof! Points of Interest & Landmarks
Tried the Beijing Gyoza, pork chee cheong fun (猪肉猪肠粉) which i really liked! Also tried coconut steamed rice and coconut jelly which I find average.. They also sell food like mango shelks, chill cooked snails, cuttlefish skewers, mango and coconut desserts etc. At the Gyoza stall, there's an Indian man making roti prata as well! Interesting place worth a visit. To the left and just beside qilou food street, there's another food street to explore :) Tip: At qilou, you pay for food using a reloadable card, you can purchase this from the card sale counter. Can put in any amount, note that 10 yuan will be charged as card deposit which is refundable when you return the card. See more..
3.5Wuzhi Mountain of Hainan(43 reviews) - Beautiful run from Wuzhi Mountain into the village of Maonao Mountains
I love the peace and beauty of China’s mountains and ancient towns. On this visit, I enjoyed viewing Wuzhi Mountain and then going to the village of Maonao. After spending my business life working in over 70 countries and most of the world's biggest cities, I enjoy the peace and tranquility offered by the mountains and ancient villages of China.See more..
3.5Haikou Mangrove(35 reviews) - Very pleasant walk Wednesday: 12:00 AM - 11:59 PM Forests
Luckily the day we went, was a cloudy day and hence it was a pleasant walk along the wooden pathway. You can also do a boat ride if you wish. Lots of mangrove have been recently planted and the area has been recently developed. You can see signs of redevelopment all along. If you enjoy a nice walk, then it is a good place to visit.See more..

3.0Wugong Temple(29 reviews) - Epitome of badly managed cultural relics Wednesday: 8:00 AM - 5:30 PM Parks • Religious Sites
Visited the temple and although the price is cheap, the condition inside is, well pathetic. Dirt and leaves everywhere, and not a single bench was clean enough to sit on. The attendants were all sleeping, except one girl who was playing on her cellphone and didn't even bother a glance at us. This is 11am in the morning. Just affirms the stereotype of lazy Hainanese. This place needs a revamp, seriously! How can Hainan claim to be an international tourist destination when most of the signage isn't even bilingual. Like many things in China, this place has great potential. However I wouldn't recommend it for anyone visiting since you'll just walk away sadly disappointed.See more..
3.5Haikou Museum(26 reviews) - A good introduction to the culture of the island Wednesday: 6:00 AM - 10:00 PM Speciality Museums
The time travel interactive display is really interesting, I watched it several times! Learning all about the Li & Miao tribes was great before a visit to Binglanlu in the south. I'm happy we stopped by.See more..
3.5Haikou Clock Tower(23 reviews) - Worth passing by Wednesday: 12:00 AM - 11:59 PM Architectural Buildings
This is not an 'attraction' that I would go out of my way to visit. It is across the road from Qilou Old Street which is one of Haikou's historic visitor sites, so take a look and grab a photo when visiting Qilou Old Street the job done. I must confess I took a photo whilst driving past!See more..
3.5Dongjiao Coconut Forest(20 reviews) - Co Co Nuts Wednesday: 8:00 AM - 6:00 PM Points of Interest & Landmarks • Forests
For about 7 rmb you can take a public mini bus to this location. Not much to see or do there. But being amongst the coconut palm trees is nice. The local people are kind and eager to talk to any foreigners. Fresh coconut juice for 5 rmb is very refreshing and delicious. They could make this place a real tourist destination but I don't see that happening, too bad. See more..
3.5Hairui's Tomb(18 reviews) - One of the few attraction in haikou Wednesday: 8:00 AM - 6:00 PM Monuments & Statues
I need to be agree to kit reviews. It doesn't have much things to do here, and you need to get a private chartered car. They do not have plenty of taxis here. I went there with a private chartered car, so I find no problem. There's nothing to see, not that interesting, but that's one of the best there. You went to haikou, just come here and see. At least you've seen it. I bought a sweet potato infront of the gate, it was 8rmb, not cheap for one potato, but it was so good. See more..

3.0Red Women Army Memorial(7 reviews) - Honouring the female fighters of the Red Army Wednesday: 8:00 AM - 6:00 PM Monuments & Statues
It is nice to see a memorial dedicated to the many women of the Red Army, who made great contributions to its victory. Fortunately, I visited with some Chinese friends, who explained the significance of the military exhibits and the contribution of the Red Army women fighters. As all the information is displayed in Chinese only, I would have had little understating of what I was viewing.See more..
This is a great place to go to get away from the commercialization and just rest and relax. There were food and fruit vendors so you could get the freshest of food as you rested along the beach. We actually rode an ostrich that was available to ride along the beach. Certainly never had done that. China is always full of surprises and this aquatint area was no exception.See more..
3.5Wanning Xinglong Hot Spring(6 reviews) - The Place to Sleep Wednesday: 12:00 AM - 11:59 PM Hot Springs & Geysers The only interesting thing for us is the hot spring pool before going to bed. 3.5Bamenwan Mangrove Forest(4 reviews) - A good light adventure - though not suitable for young kids Wednesday: 12:00 AM - 11:59 PM Forests
The mangrove is well maintained. It is clean - as far as a mangrove can be. After all, it's still a swamp, but they do a good job keeping litter away. The area itself starts with a wooden bridge which you can ride on and if you keep going, it turns into a concrete then dirt track which is for walking only. There was literally not a soul there when we visited - so it could have been a beautiful and slightly adventurous nature walk. However, we brought our 2 year old along and this place is not suitable for youngsters. Wet, with a relatively narrow walking track and large pockets of water on either side - this is not where you want to bring a curious and wild-running toddler. If you are an adventurer looking for a bit of easy exercise, a lovely walk and spending time in a shady foresty area, this place definitely fits the bill.See more..
I went there on 29 Nov 2017 and found the gates to the reservoir closed. The people in charge said the reservoir is now out of bounds to all visitors. The cruise is no longer in business.. You can't even get pass the main gate.See more..

3.5Asian Folk Customs Garden(3 reviews) - Closed down Wednesday: 8:00 AM - 6:00 PM Amusement & Theme Parks
The bus stop for this attraction is opposite our hotel and it looks derelict now; overgrown, hoarding surrounding it and a fruit stall in what may have been the entrance.See more..
3.5Bawangling Gibbon Conservation(2 reviews) - Nice subtropical forest trails but where are the gibbons? Wednesday: 8:00 AM - 6:00 PM Nature & Wildlife Areas We saw little wildlife during our one-night stay as it coincided with a cold spell that brought daytime termperatures in Haikou below 10°C. Bawangling Yajia Vacation Centre has about 15 blocks of 1- and 2- storey lodges for visitors and is located within the Bawangling Nature Reserve. Imagine a pristine version of Malaysia's Fraser's Hill and you get the idea (fresh air, small cataracts and waterfalls, cool-to-chilly mountain breezes, colourful avifauna). Hot, dry daytime contrasts with cool evenings. There are well-maintained boardwalks and the fairly steep walk up to the waterfall is reminiscent of Langkawi's Talaga Tujuh ("7 Wells") Waterfall route. An open balcony runs along the length of our lodge building and doubles as a common corridor to the rooms. All room windows have insect screens. Ensuite bathroom are wet rooms with floors of wooden slats, featuring water heater, washbasin, shower and modern sit-down flush toilet. Free wired internet access is provided via a desktop PC. There is a CRT TV, electric kettle, free teabags. Meals are available at the Vacation Centre's restaurant which is quite good (try a local dish: Boiled 5-legged wild boar, so named because the latter's long snout resembles a fifth leg when it's running).See more..
3.5Wanquan Lake(2 reviews) - Beautiful with potential Wednesday: 8:00 AM - 6:00 PM Bodies of Water
Beautiful area, though hard to find with poor access roads. On arrival at the lakeside there is little parking, not really a problem as there were no people. There is a small viewing area with some pleasure boats, which had definitely seen better days, but no crew or notices saying if and when the boats operated. There was no way of getting around the lake that we could find, no paths at all, not even rough paths. There were some good views back along the road woth taking photographs. Overall not worth the effortSee more..

See more..
3.0Mulan Bay(1 review) - Off the beaten track Wednesday: 12:00 AM - 11:59 PM Bodies of Water It's 70 miles form wenchang so we decide to get a taxi. Not much to see you catwalk down the old street to the harbour which is a thriving fishing harbour and very smelly. On the way you can stop for the chance to eat horse shoe crab. Horse shoe crabs are not crabs at all but a living fossil being one of the oldest life forms on this planet. The street must have looked great in its heyday but now is in pretty poor repair. I wonder whether they will repair it or will it be another case of rebuilding.See more..
