What an awesome experience. Smooth sailing from the time of booking til the arrival back at the Marina Tom the driver was courteous and numerous and set the tone for the rest of the day. Taylor and Jess were amazing on the raft and at our stops to snorkel. The lunch on Whitehaven Beach was great. The walk to the lookout was . worth the trek and the views were breath taking. The trip back from the reef was entertaining with crew and passengers singing along the the music. I highly recommend Ocean Rafting if you looking for a fun day out. There are lots of choices for reef tours from Port Douglas - But, Wavelength Reef Cruises is the only RIGHT choice! The crew were incredible and made this an unforgettable day! They clearly work hard, they were authentic, very friendly and so knowledgeable. We were taken to three different spots on Opal Reef. Each offered a slightly different experience and all three spots were incredible! I’m in awe of just how beautiful the reef is! We saw more fish than I ever expected and the coral was so beautiful. There was great visibility and so much to see and learn about. There were snorkel tours to learn about the reef and on board sessions over lunch with our master reef guide. We also loved that there was only a small group of about 45 of us. The boat was very clean and comfortable and felt like there was plenty of room. And I didn’t once feel crowded in the water. The crew offered help to anyone who needed it in the water and also offered more challenging experiences for those who wanted it. The crew timed each visit perfectly with enough time to really take in each site. They take brilliant photos during the day and send them to you for free so that you can forget about capturing the memories and focus on making them! Our snorkel gear and wetsuits were perfect and suncream was also supplied. There was delicious fresh food and drinks during the day. We can’t recommend Wavelength more highly and can’t wait to do this all over again one day. Went diving today with me as a certified diver (3 dives) and my two teenage daughters doing intro dives, then snorkelling. Staff were absolutely fantastic, and could not have been more helpful and accomdating. Following the first dive there was an option for my daughters to do a 2nd dive, its was great to see no hard sell for this. Following the dives, Pamela the dive master taken the time to go through what the fish and other sealife were that we seen today, the enthusiam was clear and the time to so this much appriciated. When you visit this area, particularly if it is your first experience of going to the reef I would highly recommend this tour. The staff all ensured you enjoyed the experience and provided an all round enjoyable trip. Snorkelling was what we undertook though many others on the boat went scuba diving. The boat is magnificent with sails up on the return journey to add something different. Extremely safe and the crew provided real confidence for those who were a little hesitant in swimming in the ocean. The lunch provided was for me very average. Refreshments available on board. Saw heaps of colourful fish. Underwater cameras are available to hire on board though there is a hire shop attached to the cruise terminal that can supply the equipment slightly cheaper. I cannot express how wonderful this snorkeling trip was. The small group size allowed us to see a lot of sea life including sharks, parrotfish, eels, sea turtle, and clown fish. Originally, I was torn between this tour and another highly rated less expensive tour. However, the other tour had a maximum capacity of around 200 people. Choosing this smaller tour with knowledgeable guides, Jen and Sam, was the best decision I could have made. The equipment provided was extremely high quality. If you enjoy documenting events, renting a Go Pro is a good choice. The sun was very strong and I would recommend that everyone purchase their reef safe sunscreen and take care. I would love to go on this same trip again and will encourage my friends, family, and strangers to take this specific trip. The captain, Neil, was also very experienced and did a great job. As a young solo female traveler with decent swimming ability, I felt safe on this trip.See more..

We had a lovely day with Adam as our tour guide. He was very knowledgeable and passionate! We learnt so much about the rainforest from him. Our bus was very comfortable and air conditioned and he gave amazing commentary all the way through about local animals, trees, insects, everything! We met an Aboriginal guide who gave us an insight into their culture and way of life in the Daintree which was really nice. Our river guide Bruce was very insightful: we learnt about crocodiles and river animals, birds and plant life . Also would like to mention the local eateries we went to. All were spectacular and scrumptious! The tour was very well planned and executed. Being in a small group of 10 people made the experience better too. It was a very memorable day and we highly recommend it to anyone wishing to appreciate the Daintree rain forest .See more..

We look the 9:30am one hour trip yesterday. Mark was a knowledgeable, humorous and lovely skipper/guide/croc expert. He took us to see two large crocs and then spotted another baby croc sunning itself. He also spotted birds along the way. The live video he takes allowed us to see the crocs really close up as well as from the boat. The boat is solar powered, which sets it apart from other boats offering croc tours. All the staff and the Kinnon Family members who took part in providing the tours, the theatre and shows and giving a real authentic outback experience made for a wonderful Longreach trip. My partner and I opted for option B with Reef Sprinter & couldn’t be more happy with our snorkel trip. Fitting everyone out with gear took no time at all, the crew is well organised and good at sorting you out quickly so you can get out to sea quicker. The boat was nice & quick out to the low isle, so there was no chance of getting sea sick, it was much calmer than expected too (very minimal bumping around, given the speed). While on the boat, the tour guide helped point out some good spots to look for, floats for safety and general advice. Once out on the water, one of our guides kayaked around some really good spots to snorkel around or dive down to investigate (if that’s your style, definitely recommend dropping the snorkel and going for a dive!) We booked two nights on the Pontoon at Lady Musgrave Island on 5 December 2022 to 7 December 2022. We had the most amazing time. The glamping bed was very comfortable. Food was amazing - thank you Chef Chris! The staff on the pontoon work so hard to make everyone's stay an experience you want to repeat. Thank you to Abby, Steve, Adrian and all the day staff that came with the boat every day. We are very keen snorkelers and the snorkelling at the reef near the Pontoon is top notch. What a beautiful time was spent sailing over the waters of Cleveland Bay on Ragamuffin whilst watching the sun set. I actually went to experience the feel of a sailboat as opposed to a powerboat which I’m very familiar with as my partner wishes to purchase a sailboat but wanted my blessing on a sailboat. Stu was our captain for the sail and was the best. With a boat load of women up on deck sipping bubbles and me down the back bashing his ear with numerous questions, nothing phased him and he made everything just so enjoyable. Lisa, his partner who organised the tour for me and was there to greet us on our arrival back that evening has to be one of the happiest people I’ve met in a long time. The Legendary Longreach and Winton Tour - A fantastic tour with 'Outback Aussie Tours', our guide and driver (Janet and Danny) were second to none - they made the tour entertaining, fun, informative and tried to cater to everyone on it. Going to Rosebank Station and meeting Alan and Sue was great, especially since we were able to drive around the property and be informed of the ways of the land. The morning tea we absolutely amazing and the atmosphere inside the house took us back in time with the old records playing. Outback Dan was entertaining as well on our night at Camden Park, the dinner was great too. One of the best highlights of the tour was the unset cruise with Allen, it was beautiful and he was a funny chap. The dinner and entertainment at 'Smithy's was a night to remember. Great boat trip in Kuranda. We saw turtles and fish, and our guide Warren pointed out some crocodiles lurking below the surface. As well as a relaxing cruise, it was also very informative about the area. Felt the right level of commentary was provided as we cruised along the river. Would highly recommend. Located just on the river side of the train station. Its easy to find. We booked online, but you can also rock up at the right time & hope to get on. Had a fabulous day out! The coast was miserable and rainy but the reef was crystal clear and sunny. I did an intro suba dive at friendship bommer which was perfect. Saw a stingray, mini clownfish, a variety of tiny to moderately big sized fish. Was great guidance for a first time dive. There was an octopus, stingray and starfish Second dive at beaver cay was absolutely beautiful. Brilliant colours in the coral and little ledges with a vast number of corals, fish hiding and giant clams. A shelf of sea anemones and more clownfish. The staff seemed to genuinely care if you felt ok and provided a smogersboard of delicious lunch meats and salads to make ourselves. Plenty of food and fresh. Best trip on the reef!See more..

My husband is a dive instructor, so for him to recommend someone else to look after me (nervous first timer) is a big deal! He recommended Martin at ScubaIQ and I felt like I was in the safest hands on the reef. His pre-trip communication was excellent including a short elearning package and then a personal experience on the boat. He was patient, thorough and did wonders to set my nerves at ease. Especially when nerves got into me and I started to wonder 'is this really for me', Martin took the time to slow me down, explain things and fill me with confidence. I did 3 Intro dives and had an absolute ball. My husband dived alongside us and I couldn't have been in better hands. The diving was amazing, lots to see including a White Tip Reef Shark, flowery Cod and ghost shrimp. Martin also took the time to point out things of interest and debrief each dive. By the end, I was confident enough to explore more and have a bit more space, but never left too far from Martin's watchful haze. I'll admit, I wasn't sure this was for me, but I had an absolute ball thanks to Martin's patience and expert guidance. We had a great visit to Green Island starting with a ferry trip to the island itself. The ride out was on a huge boat with good air conditioning and a bar that was open prior to sailing. On arrival at the island it was a short walk along the gangway and we headed straight to the store to collect snorkelling equipment. From there we followed signs on a footpath and made our way to a nearby beach where lifeguards were on duty with flags out. Here sun-beds and umbrellas were available to hire at a cost of $40. We could buy soft drinks here too. The snorkelling and swimming was great with shoals of fish to be seen. The island is a small one and very easy to walk around; use either the path or stroll on the beach. The island was very clean too despite the numbers visiting. I really enjoyed this place and recommend it to all. If I had one recommendation it would be to add the crocodile experience into the price of the ticket.See more..

For the last day of our 10 day holiday at Bundy, I decided to book the 2.5 hour Buddy Belle River Cruise leaving 1.30pm. Booking online was very easy. Boarding was also easy and we managed to get 2 seats on the covered top deck which I recommend as great viewing. The commentary was very informative and great music from local artists was played - never knew Sounds of Then by Gang Gajang was about Bundy!!! We were even allowed to BYO (which we did) but tea/coffee & biscuits were provided. We also got to see a couple of dolphins. My only comment would be to have some music playing for the return trip but other than that, it was a lovely relaxing way to end our holiday. Would definitely recommend this affordable cruise. The Crew will take you from the Office in Downtown Cairns to the Canyon, which is about a 45 min ride, with a quick toilet/snack stop in between. After equiping, its a 5 min walk to the start. After some instructions, the fun part started with several jumps and slides. We always felt very safe and even if some participants did not felt confident for the biggest jump (~10m) the crew will abseiling you. So the course is definetly suitable for Canyoning starters. The time you are in the water is about 2.5 h, but the wetsuits will keep you warm.See more..

We had a fabulous, relaxing sunset cruise this afternoon with Karl and his team, who made us feel very welcome and made sure we were looked after. It was a gorgeous afternoon, and my husband and I and our two boys aged 6 & 11 had a great time, with another couple on board. The catamaran is very comfortable & well-presented - it was a stylish way to enjoy a cruise. Our boys loved sitting down the front, with them best seat in the house’. During the Art Deco festival in Innisfail we went on both cocktail cruises, and they were a highlight of the festival, especially the Saturday night. Stuff were great, drinks were delicious but it would have been nice to be warned to bring our own nibbles. The river is beautiful and it’s a great way to see parts of the town you wouldn’t otherwise. Had an incredible day with Cliff: he is authentic, let’s the tour run at our own pace and if there is something about Magnetic Island that he doesn’t know, it’s not worth knowing! The tour goes around the entire island and all snorkels, flippers, noodles etc are included. He showed us the best places to snorkel the shipwrecks, find coral, turtles and fish; we fed eagles; learnt about the island’s history and geology; and saw bonsais, balancing rocks and caves we would never have noticed. Great value at $85 from 8.30am to 3.30pm, and despite having visited Maggie three times, I now can’t wait to go back to some of the places we visited or to follow his advice and see things we didn’t know existed. I truly don’t know how to tell you how much we enjoyed this tour and how much fun we had. Ken and Simon are the best and this came through in the stories, we saw a huge croc, emptied a couple of pots, and heard about Karumba. Later on we picked up Mrs Simon and all the food the ladies had been cooking for us and another group and were whisked across to a sand island to watch the magnificent sunset, eat prawns and mud crab and sample some lovely wines. Went on this river cruise recently. Convenient hop on/hop off at either Karumba Point or Karumba Township. The boat goes up the Norman River. We spotted two crocodiles basking on the riverbank, watched as the owners fed the local wildlife, and then cruised out to watch the sun go down over the Gulf. Hosts Allison and Glenn are very welcoming and knowledgeable and give a great insight into the history of Karumba. Glenn is always on the lookout for wildlife to show the guests. Beer and wine is included in the price, as well as snacks and a small bowl of fresh prawns and mud cake to top off the tour. We had a great few hours just relaxing and taking it all in. Don't forget to brush up on your jokes, and join in in a bit of a sing-along. Can't praise these guys enough. Thanks for a great afternoon.See more..

The cruise is relaxing and informative. We were lucky that the owner, Stephen skippered the cruise. Stephen knows the area geography, animals, fish, history and tells the most interesting stories about this unique Lake. Dave, the owner and skipper, is a genuine, thoughtful, calm, reliable and considerate owner/operator - traits that are rare in the tourism game. Making money was definitely not his motivation. Ensuring his clients had the most memorable experience is! Dave consistently went out of his way to give us the best experience of Cape York during our short stay and accommodated our every need. The weather was not always on our side, but Dave was very flexible in planning and very capable as a boat driver to ensure we achieved what we wanted and stayed safe. Dave is an amazing problem solver so if you have any special requests, put it to him and I'm sure he will work it out. Highly recommend Dave and CYA for all your boating needs in the Cape or Torres Strait, whether it be an island tour, recreational fishing, vessel transfer or anything outside of the box - he really can do it all! Due to an injury I sustained 12 months ago, we had to push our walk dates back from 2020 to 2021. Brad was super helpful and really accommodating with this. In the weeks leading up to the walk I rang him a couple of times to check water levels on the island and what’s changed since I last walked the trail 15 years ago. He’s worked on the Island with NP and knows it intimately, add to that, he’s transferring hikers most days, so his intel is always spot on. He dropped us off, picked us up on time, the vessel appeared well maintained and he’s just a genuinely good guy to deal with who’s concerned about peoples safety. The cold drinks on the ride back were a very welcome sight after the 4 days of heat and rain we’d just had too. Thoroughly recommend Brad and his company to anyone interested in hiking the trail.See more..

I’ve done five round trips with Scamper to various islands for camping, and each trip has been on time, convenient, and super enjoyable. The skippers are great at telling you about your island stops and the scenery is amazing in this part of the Whitsundays. Scamper also has a great selection of camping gear available for rent. Booking and check in are super easy as well. They will also transport your kayaks for a small extra charge. I highly recommend scamper for your Whitsunday Island camping adventures.See more..
Had a great multi experience adventure with Ben - Wild Hinchinbrook Adventures. Spent the morning navigating the channel including the Herbert River mouth, Deluge Inlet (an amazing journey up the inlet until we reached fresh water), and Hancock Island. What we saw was truely amazing. Our second adventure was to Zoe Falls. With the wind increasing, Ben was certainly skilled and attempted to minimise the impact of the swell going out and on the return journey. Ben's knowledge surrounding the history, vegetation and flora was exceptional. Zoe Falls was so worth seeing and having a guided tour heightened the experience. We hired snorkel gear at $15 pp a day. Staff friendly and told us best beaches and walks to do to get there. Have most water-sport activities and even rent beach umbrellas if needed. If not doing tours highly recommend to do snorkelling on your own. Best day ever.See more..
Don't leave Longreach without experiencing this great night on the Paddlewheeler cruise, camp fire dinner, bush poetry and sound and light show! From the time of pick up from your motel or van park you are entertained by your hosts and it would be hard not to enjoy the tales of the bush. The cruise is BYO with nibbles provided and after a beautiful sunset on the river it is back to the camp site for stew and mash while damper is prepared over the hot coals. The Sound and light show focuses on bushranger Captain Starlight before returning for bush poetry, prepared damper and billy tea. Return to your accommodation is by coach. A group of eight of us took the Drover's Sunset Cruise with Smithy's Outback Dinner & Show run by Outback Aussie Tours in Longreach, Queensland, on the Thomson River. We were collected from our accommodation and driven to the point where the cruise boat met us. There was plenty of room for travellers either upstairs (with your jackets on!) or downstairs. The bar opened almost as soon as we began the cruise. The boat driver told us about the wildlife we saw (mostly birds), the tent activity on the bank (school group), the fishing possibilities and the turtles that came up to be fed when the boat stopped to allow people out on the back to view the sunset. We then returned to the starting point of the cruise for a sturdy outback dinner under fairy lighted trees and with a highly competent singer/entertainer named Owen Blundell. The fire 'pits' (and visits to the bar!) tried to keep us warm, but it was a very cold night and we were pleased when the coaches loaded us up and took us 'home'.See more..
