From arriving on the Island, all I heard about was Aquascene tours so we tried to book them first. Let me say I am glad they were full because Drue’s tour was faultless. The guy is brilliant, has a great sense of humour and includes everyone in his tour. The fishing, his passion of the island, his knowledge on the island history / wildlife / bird life and marine background is great and the entire trip was 10/10 for everyone. If you want prawn sandwiches and lots of others on your boat book the other company but if you want a personalised service then I’d be choosing Magnetic Island time cruises!See more..

Had an incredible day with Cliff: he is authentic, let’s the tour run at our own pace and if there is something about Magnetic Island that he doesn’t know, it’s not worth knowing! The tour goes around the entire island and all snorkels, flippers, noodles etc are included. He showed us the best places to snorkel the shipwrecks, find coral, turtles and fish; we fed eagles; learnt about the island’s history and geology; and saw bonsais, balancing rocks and caves we would never have noticed. Great value at $85 from 8.30am to 3.30pm, and despite having visited Maggie three times, I now can’t wait to go back to some of the places we visited or to follow his advice and see things we didn’t know existed. Food quality exceeded most City 5 star restaurants and how this is consistently provided in such a remote location says everything about attention to detail from the whole crew and backup enterprise. Three brilliantly patient fishing guides who located over 1000 barra and a further 1000 non-target species for 9 guests over a five day period, with some guests exhibiting dubious casting skills! Gerry was the consumate professional in ever regard but most importantly he put using to big fish. I had been going to Karumba since childhood but he took me to a place I never even knew of. He got 5 big Spanish Mackerel from 1.2 to 1.5m; these fish give an excellent fight and fill a freezer. He guided relatively novice fisherman with a gentle hand and was an interesting and well spoken host. I have been on many charters and can say that Gerry's operation is a stand out. Dave, the owner and skipper, is a genuine, thoughtful, calm, reliable and considerate owner/operator - traits that are rare in the tourism game. Making money was definitely not his motivation. Ensuring his clients had the most memorable experience is! Dave consistently went out of his way to give us the best experience of Cape York during our short stay and accommodated our every need. The weather was not always on our side, but Dave was very flexible in planning and very capable as a boat driver to ensure we achieved what we wanted and stayed safe. Dave is an amazing problem solver so if you have any special requests, put it to him and I'm sure he will work it out. Highly recommend Dave and CYA for all your boating needs in the Cape or Torres Strait, whether it be an island tour, recreational fishing, vessel transfer or anything outside of the box - he really can do it all! Over the moon with how good today’s trip with mick was! What a legend. Top bloke and put my Dad and I onto some amazing fish! He helped us with all the gear and all the knowledge needed for chasing the big fish! Took us to some fantastic spots.. We caught some great mackies and plenty of reef fish, which mick filleted and cleaned for us after our trip for a mean feed. I was also extremely impressed at just how good the lunch is. He taught me to lure fish for GTs (Giant Trevally) and WITHIN 10 casts half of which were terrible, I hooked my fish of a life time. A massive GT. Easily over 20kgs! Had a great multi experience adventure with Ben - Wild Hinchinbrook Adventures. Spent the morning navigating the channel including the Herbert River mouth, Deluge Inlet (an amazing journey up the inlet until we reached fresh water), and Hancock Island. What we saw was truely amazing. Our second adventure was to Zoe Falls. With the wind increasing, Ben was certainly skilled and attempted to minimise the impact of the swell going out and on the return journey. Ben's knowledge surrounding the history, vegetation and flora was exceptional. Zoe Falls was so worth seeing and having a guided tour heightened the experience. Visited Roko in April 2021 and it was a magnificent fishing adventure. We fished for 4 days with Tim and Paul as our guides and we’re blessed with great weather and heaps of fish. Fishing offshore 1770s skipper James is a great host, takes you all over to all his favourite fishing spots, moving to where the fish is if they aren't biting. No staying still. Good for all levels. Husband says he was so impressed that he did back to back days. Must do adventure while your in 1770/Agnes waters. On return you can get your stash skinned, boned and filleted all for a small fee. Had a fantastic time on our scenic helicopter ride with Hinchinbrook Adventures. Leaving from Ingham, we flew over Herbert river, Hinchinbrook island and Wallaman falls. Matt was an exceptional guide. He knew the lake well and he put in the hard yards to find us the fish. He wasn't blaming the weather (which was against us) and he kept positive and didn't stop until he got us onto lots of fish. His equipment is top of the range and he has the expertise to go with it. Whether you love your fishing or not, Lake Monduran Holiday Park is a great place to pull up stumps for a couple of days. The park has everything you need; from a few essentials at the reception/office, to awesome camp kitchens, clean ablution blocks, mini golf and other kids games, van parking, powered and unpowered sites. There's even a couple of cabins with water views if you don't feel like pitching the tent! The staff are super friendly and very helpful, and if you do want to try your luck at catching a big barra, then talk to Rob about hiring a boat for the day, or heading out on one of his fishing charters.See more..

I cant even put into words how good this charter is. The fish weren't biting today, they were sporadic and just not into it, yet Lindsay managed to get both me and my mum at least one 1metre Barra plus each! (Mum got 3!!) He is very professional and he knows his stuff. His line flicking when your snagged is a very cool trick. Serious go with this guy. If it's possible to get a Barra, he will get you that Barra.
