Croc spotting on the Daintree
We look the 9:30am one hour trip yesterday. Mark was a knowledgeable, humorous and lovely skipper/guide/croc expert. He took us to see two large crocs and then spotted another baby croc sunning itself. He also spotted birds along the way. The live video he takes allowed us to see the crocs really close up as well as from the boat. The boat is solar powered, which sets it apart from other boats offering croc tours. At $28 for an adult, $20 for a student and $15 for a child, I thought it was excellent value. I would highly recommend this trip

A quiet float along the river
Thanks David. We came across a slight problem and David was very kind and allowed us to reschedule our booking. Much appreciated. The trip along the river was beautiful, even though it was bucketing down cats and dogs. Mark prepared the boat to provide some shelter but regardless of he rain, it's wet season afterall, the trip was magical. We saw a mamma croc! Yay. Being a smaller boat Mark got right up and close to everything and with an electric motor it was so quiet. There was only a small group of us, 7, so it felt like a personal tour. Mark even stopped and reversed because we thought we saw something on the banks that looked like a croc. There's lots of other choices for a cruise down the river but I'll definitely take another trip with Solar Whisper again, maybe in the dry season!
