  2. 4.5 Brackley Beach (245 reviews)
    - Wow, beautiful beach
    Beaches
    Brackley Beach image
Excellent beach, very clean and nicely maintained by Parks Canada. The area has ample parking, washroom facilities and lifeguards on the beach. The water is shallow and you can walk out for 100 ft in some areas and the water is still only to your calves, thus very safe for children. Brackley Beach stretches out for a long way so there is plenty of room for families to spread out. The sand dunes are quite breathtaking. The sand is soft and a light red colour. We were there on a very hot day in August and it was a fantastic experience, it felt like we were in the Caribbean. If hot weather permits, go to Brackley Beach and enjoy this natural wonder in PEI. 4. 4.5 Cabot Beach Provincial Park (131 reviews)
    - Better than Cavendish!!

    Cabot Beach Provincial Park image
We camped here for one night after camping a night at Cavendish. The beach is lovely, not terribly busy. The park itself is well maintained and the staff are fantastic. We were there on a weekday so the park itself was quiet. They let us drive in to look at the sites before choosing one. We picked a very shaded site with lots of privacy but the bugs were a pain since there was a fire ban that night. There are some much more open sites if you prefer. See more..
  5. 4.0 Panmure Island Provincial Park (94 reviews)
    - A beautiful quiet beach
    Beaches
    Panmure Island Provincial Park image
The beach is long, clean and wonderful for a long walk on white sand with a supervised swim area. An open Heritage Lighthouse with museum, which was a cute little shop to visit with local crafts and souvenirs. The campground in the park has simple but maintained facilities for bathroom, showers and laundry. The campground however is just a series of open fields with "marked sites" and has no shade or privacy. See more..
  6. 4.5 Thunder Cove Beach (88 reviews)
    - Incredible Tea Cup Rock, PEI
    Beaches
    Thunder Cove Beach image
We went in early September, the weather was beautiful, water was cool but you could swim, although most just walked this incredible red sand beach. Very few people were around, which gave us some great shots of just us at these fantastic formations. Gotta LOVE nature doing it’s thing! See more..
  7. 4.0 Souris Beach Provincial Park (45 reviews)
    - Souris is gross
    Sunday: 10:00 AM - 8:00 PM Spent 1-2 hours Beaches • Nature & Wildlife Areas • Parks
    Souris Beach Provincial Park image
This is our 4th visit to the island we have visited several beaches over the years this was by far the dirtiest. We went because of the reviews we read here regarding sea glass, we were a group of 6 people scouring the beach and didn't find 1 piece. If you don't know what true sea glass is it is NOT just pieces of broken glass it is a shards that have been polished smooth by rocks & sand. There is a decent amount of sea life but nothing you can't see elsewhere with less trash on the shores. See more..

    - My kind of beach
    Beaches
    Sally's Beach Provincial Park image
An hour's drive from Charlottetown, on the eastern side of PEI, this is a pleasant escape from the crowds of the north shore. We went on a hot weekend in June and had the beach all to ourselves! White sand, clean water, clean change rooms, small playground for kids, nice trails along the coast, lots of picnic tables. This is my kind of beach! See more..
  10. 5.0 Tignish Shore Beach (10 reviews)
    - Tignish Shore is Beautiful!
    Spent 2-3 hours Beaches
    Tignish Shore Beach image
Tignish Shore was our first PEI experience and it did not disappoint. The red sand, the calming waves, the beautiful boardwalk, the delicious ice cream, and the colourful marina all seemed from a movie. See more..
  11. 4.5 Tea Hill Provincial Park (10 reviews)
    - Lovely spot, be sure to go at low tide so you walk way out on the sandbars
    Beaches • Parks
    Tea Hill Provincial Park image
Beautiful spot. Red sand, there is a public washroom on site with sinks. You can walk down on the beach, and at low tide, you can walk way, way out across the sandbars and into where the water usually is during high tide. The water is warm and shallow during low tide, with bits of sand, and then little sections of ankle deep water. Lots of neat sealife here like snails, clams, and shells. See more..
  12. 4.5 Ross Lane Beach (8 reviews)
    - Sand and sea galore!
    Spent 1-2 hours Beaches
    Ross Lane Beach image
Ross Lane is one of the many beaches available along the Gulf Shore Parkway in PEI National Park. A raised walkway is convenient, especially for those who find walking in the sand difficult. A very wide, sandy beach greets you, in a huge arc from east to west. The water is very shallow with sandbars, making it excellent for small children. The water is pretty cold, but you can get used to it and the children along the beach don't seem to mind! Sunsets are beautiful! This is what beaches in summer are all about! See more..

Stumbled upon this place while randomly exploring outside Miscouche off the beaten track. This obscure park has a playground, picnic tables and bathroom facilities. There is also a nice, small unsupervised red sand beach. Although the visit was short, it was very relaxing and enjoyable! See more..
  15. 5.0 Beach Goats (4 reviews)
    - Fantastic time! The goats were adorable.

    Beach Goats image
Absolutely one of the highlights of our trip! The goats were so cute and friendly. We had lots of opportunity to interact with the goats and both my mom and I had babies fall asleep in our arms. I highly recommend it if you come to this part of PEI. See more..
  16. 4.5 Jacques Cartier Provincial Park (3 reviews)
    - Great for camping
Spent More than 3 hours Beaches • Parks • Hiking Trails
    Jacques Cartier Provincial Park image
We spent 2 nights here. Sites 73 and 74 are as close to the ocean as humanly possible (we were a bit worried that high tide would actually get us, but no worries). These sites are directly across from the bathroom, which was extremely clean (they were cleaning it every few hours). The very bright light that couldn’t be turned off was a bit annoying but these are the only ones directly on the beach. Sites 56/57/58 are reasonably private, but the most private is the other beachfront site (in the 70s, can’t remember the number, all the way to the left when looking at the map). See more..
  17. 5.0 Dalvay Beach (1 review)
    - Quieter alternative and long walk to bathroom
Spent More than 3 hours Beaches
Quieter alternative to other larger beaches like Cavendish or Brackley. Much less services than Cavendish; There is a bathroom about 500 yards away from small parking lot. Packed red sand that gets on everything but the water is cleaner than any other beach we saw and with waves reminiscent of a freshwater lake, ie, barely noticeable. Nearby farmlands and bubbling springs trails for birdwatching. Additional bonus here is if you wanted to go to Dalvay Beach hotel for lunch and sit out on the porch. The hotel also has bike and boat rentals for their surprisingly large lake behind the house. See more..

  19. Diggin on the Bar (0 review)
    Beaches
Diggin' on the BarStep off the deck and onto the pristine red soil. Climb over the dunes and onto a sandbar. Watch as the water disappears from your feet, and sprays of water shoot out of a hole in the ground. YOU HAVE FOUND THEM......PEI CLAMS !!!!!Whether it's the soft shelled “squirt” clams, the razors or the Bar clams, you are about to embark on one of the greatest experiences in the world......one like no other. Watch as a professional “clammer” shows you how to find the buried treasure. Find the hole to dig, but not too close to the hole, dig on an angle, dig deep and fast. You are sure to gaze in awe as you set your eyes on one of these delicious treats. Fill your bucket and head for the shore. A fire will be ready, pots will be filled, and clams will be steamed.....grab a refreshment, sit on the deck and watch the sun set over the peaceful waters of PEI. See more..
