4.5Peake's Wharf(196 reviews) - Peake's Wharf a great location for photos Points of Interest & Landmarks • Piers & Boardwalks
In the morning of Monday August 29th, 2022, while driving through Charlottetown we decided to stop at Peake’s Wharf. Peake’s Wharf, at the city’s waterfront is the central focus for visitors and residents alike with its restaurants, craft shops, boat tours of the harbour and boardwalks along the waterfront. This area from the cruise ship wharf to Victoria Park is perfect for sightseeing; our photos were taken as we walked south of Queen Street and Water St. Parkway. Here we can see the P.E.I. Convention Centre, the boats at the Charlottetown Yacht Club, the 2022 Display, the red Play-Me-Piano, and the many locks at famous Love Locks Sculpture. We would rate this scenic stopover as 5 stars.See more..

These National Heritage sites have been carefully restored and furnished to honour one of Canada's most beloved authors. The committee of volunteers has worked tirelessly to give the public an authentic look at how Maud lived and wrote many of her books while living in this tiny community. We recently attended a "Cat's Meow" evening with tasty bite-sized goodies, a silent auction of "cats" decorated by local celebrities and artists along with live entertainment to raise funds for a life sized bronze statue of Lucy Maud sitting in her beloved garden. What a wonderful evening! I hope there are many more such occasions! I understand afternoon teas are also offered after many tours of the site. This group of volunteers has created a friendly and welcoming destination which I intend to revisit again and again!See more..

Roma at Three Rivers is a non-profit National Historic Site that was developed and is run by a local board of volunteers. During our season (about July to September), we offer daily interactive demonstrations by our cast of french indentured servants, who bring to life what it was like to leave their lives in France and work in undeveloped Isle St Jean (today's PEI). Come for lunch and try some of our heritage items on the menu! Learn Jean Pierre Roma's fishermen caught and preserved their cod. Taste the herbs in the garden. Sense the heat held by the wood oven, even the day after baking bread. Try on some french "sabot"! Give a go at quill pen writing. Reserve ahead of time, and try candle making! For children (or the young at heart), we also have a variety of toys and games that we can play. We always tailor our demonstrations to the ages of our visitors (no matter how young). You can be sure that you'll enjoy you're experience here!See more..

5.0Vermilion Art Works(7 reviews) - Browsing Spent 1-2 hours Points of Interest & Landmarks
You know how you go into these types of shops with intentions of just checking them out because most times they are pricy and just don't have anything worth buying. Well not here. I left with a few items that I loved and even though they were unique I have seen similar elsewhere for double the price. Just a nice unique place a little bit different than the rest!See more..
The beach near the last lighthouse is absolutely amazing. The sand is really smooth and the sandbars here are huge. You can explore the beach here all day. The water is really shallow along the beach and retains its heat so the water was still warm when I was there in the second week of September. When the tide goes out is when you really get to enjoy the sandbars. I was able to see live oysters burrowed in the sand and tons of different kinds of birds. There was no one there when I visited. I met a super kind local man who gave me the history of the area and gave me tips on where to find seals and schools of mackerel and the best spots to swim. Don't swim near the last lighthouse because there's a 30 feet drop off with a current right near the beach there. I almost don't want to review this place because I don't want it spoiled! Enjoy this beach. It's worth the visit.See more..

4.5St. Andrews Chapel Ceilidh(2 reviews) - Great venue for Local Entertainment Points of Interest & Landmarks We attended a show in August 2016. Fiddlers' Sons The seats were hard and the air was warm but the music and songs was so good that you didn't think of those things much. Eddie Quinn (Lead vocals), Jon Matthews (Guitar) and Courtney Hogan-Chandler (Fiddle) was the show for the evening. Even my husband who isn't fond of fiddles and country music enjoyed it. At intermission - refreshments were available - juice, homemade biscuits, squares and cookies - made locally. The price for the evening was only $10. The Chapel interior is very interesting - a mix of new and old. The history of the building is also unique.See more..
