4.5Basin Head Provincial Park(405 reviews) - Singing Sands, ocean & smiles! Sunday: 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM State Parks
As a child I spent many of sunny days between the wharf & embarking on the local tradition of the “jump” Returning to the sands for a day, after 23 years. Soothes the soul! My travel sister & friend had never been! We came back the next day! Some places in life are meant to be enjoyed as much as possible when opportunity allows. Clean, accessible beaches. The right side is said to be more family based. It also houses a “beach” mobility chair and mat to go to the water!!! So amazing! The left side (over the bridge) is said to be more happening and the bridge, of course is always “jumping” If you wish you can walk further down the left side, and it becomes quieted the further you embark. If you want to float down the wharf, you can enter as the others may be. Or you can slip into the calm beach just north of the left side, you will see . Just Stand on the bridge and look towards land ;) Have a blast & sit forget to say hi to the singing sands for me!See more..

4.5Prince Edward Island National Park(143 reviews) - Great half day outdoors Spent 1-2 hours National Parks • Nature & Wildlife Areas • Hiking Trails
Wandering the trails through this PEI National park to the sea is a great way to spend a half day (or more). I am sure that the ambiance changes with the weather to make each visit unique, there are two trails and boardwalks, one to St. Peter’s bay and the other to Greenwich Beach. Relatively flat and well groomed so an easy walk for all. The beach is spectacular and walkable and when I went in July the bayside walk had a myriad of wildflowers. Recommend for a pleasant little hike.See more..
We camped here for one night after camping a night at Cavendish. The beach is lovely, not terribly busy. The park itself is well maintained and the staff are fantastic. We were there on a weekday so the park itself was quiet. They let us drive in to look at the sites before choosing one. We picked a very shaded site with lots of privacy but the bugs were a pain since there was a fire ban that night. There are some much more open sites if you prefer.See more..
Confederation Landing Park was constructed and opened in 1995. It involved acquire and decommission the former Texaco Tank property and redevelop it as a Waterfront Park commemorating the 1864 Charlottetown Conference that led to the formation of Canada. The Maritime provinces were deemed separate entities and colonies of various countries. Nova Scotia is Latin for New Scotland. What was known as Canada in the mid-1860s was the current provinces of Quebec and Ontario. The 1864 Charlottetown Conference united—or “confederated”—all of the eastern provinces into one country: Canada. The waterfront park is more than just history. It’s an active area at the tip of Charlottetown. There are surrounding pubs, restaurants, shops—or a lovely place for a family picnic. As part of a tour group, I had little free time, but I did walk about the area, especially the adjoining wharfs and met many local residents. It’s a wonderful opportunity to enjoy water views and manicured nature.See more..
4.5North Rustico Sea Walk Park(55 reviews) - Excellent, clean park with lots of activities for everyone Parks
Seawalk Park has shops and public washrooms. There is a play ground with picnic area across from North Rustico Harbour. On Tuesday and Thursday afternoons in the summer, there are free crafts, and fun activities for kids. Wednesday evenings there are free music concerts in the park. Just around the corner is a lovely scenic boardwalk along the water front (15 min stroll). Follow it down to some more shops, activities etc. There is a light house. And if you turn left on Break Water Road, you will find North Rustico Beach...free, beautiful soft sand, warmer water than Cavendish, about a km long....hit it about 8pm ish to see the sun set.See more..
This was one of those places we just happened to stumble upon while exploring the island. We parked and got out and immediately smelled fir trees. We saw a little stream coming down the side of the grassy hill and then a long staircase down below where we could see that stream trickle into a waterfall! We explored the beach for a bit and then when we were done we went back up and noticed tiny strawberries in the field. It was one of our favorite places of our whole trip. Not sure if the waterfall will always be there but still a great place to visit.See more..
My Mom and I stayed at this park and it was amazing!! We received a warm welcome when we arrived and would like to give a shout out to Georgina and Leisa for all of the guidance and support we received during our 5 nights stay! Georgina seemed to be our main go to person and would look forward to seeing her each day; she was always gracious, kind and helpful with whatever we needed. Would highly recommend this Park to everyone The ocean view was spectacular, the location pretty central and it was the place we called home during our visit to PEI... which we will always hold near and dear to our heart Thank you See more..

4.0Souris Beach Provincial Park(45 reviews) - Souris is gross Sunday: 10:00 AM - 8:00 PM Spent 1-2 hours Beaches • Nature & Wildlife Areas • Parks
This is our 4th visit to the island we have visited several beaches over the years this was by far the dirtiest. We went because of the reviews we read here regarding sea glass, we were a group of 6 people scouring the beach and didn't find 1 piece. If you don't know what true sea glass is it is NOT just pieces of broken glass it is a shards that have been polished smooth by rocks & sand. There is a decent amount of sea life but nothing you can't see elsewhere with less trash on the shores.See more..
I stopped off here after a long day cycling and set up camp at the bottom of the grassy slope within feet of a great stretch of sandy beach. The beach was not at all busy in September and as I paddled and rested my weary legs I saw kayakers paddle by and a few swimmers squealing as they ran in and out of the water. I went to sleep listening to the waves lapping the shore. I met a retired couple who had set up their RV on a prime spot where they spent the whole summer - they know how to do it!!! A beautiful peaceful place - hope to get back there next summer. See more..
Stayed in a cabin at the park and it was awesome! Close to the beach, great shower and laundry facilities, quiet. Great location to explore the east side of the island which has wonderful beaches, local concerts, fewer tourist crowds of the west/ North Coast. Easy hop over to Nova Scotia.See more..
We stumbled on this park while driving looking for seals. It's seriously the best kid's park we've ever been to. TONS of play equipment for all ages, , forest walk with fairy tale statues, a snack bar, a beach, washrooms and showers. You could kill a whole day here if you wanted to.See more..

We were in site 48. We loved the privacy of the site. Lots of trees and a good sized lot. The only complaint we had is no wifi in that side of the bridge. There's only wifi available if you are in the 3way seviced sites and you only get one password for one device.See more..
You can drive your car quietly right up to the fence and watch the buffalo as they graze and tend to their young. I always pick up a clump of hair when they are molting. Often they rub their coats against the wire fence. It's hit and miss if you will see them close by, but often in the early evening they are up near the watering area. The lane along the fence is very rough and full of potholes, so drive super slowly, which is also good for the buffalo if they are close. This park is one of the last few places where you can see animals of such majesty and power. Love these guys! See more..
4.0Marine Rail Historical Park(17 reviews) - Place To See The Confederation Bridge And More Spent 1-2 hours Parks
Went to PEI for a day trip and stopped here immediately after crossing the bridge. The park is located on what used to be the Ferry Terminal before the Confederation Bridge opened. It's THE PLACE to get a good picture of the bridge. There are also commemorative monuments to the old ferries and railway located here and how they serviced the island before the bridge was built.See more..
4.5Tea Hill Provincial Park(10 reviews) - Lovely spot, be sure to go at low tide so you walk way out on the sandbars Beaches • Parks
Beautiful spot. Red sand, there is a public washroom on site with sinks. You can walk down on the beach, and at low tide, you can walk way, way out across the sandbars and into where the water usually is during high tide. The water is warm and shallow during low tide, with bits of sand, and then little sections of ankle deep water. Lots of neat sealife here like snails, clams, and shells.See more..

Visit Souris MB great town lots amenities beautiful camping park with large pool & slides. Swinging bridge in town peacock unofficial mascot. Loved Souris!See more..
We spent 2 nights here. Sites 73 and 74 are as close to the ocean as humanly possible (we were a bit worried that high tide would actually get us, but no worries). These sites are directly across from the bathroom, which was extremely clean (they were cleaning it every few hours). The very bright light that couldn’t be turned off was a bit annoying but these are the only ones directly on the beach. Sites 56/57/58 are reasonably private, but the most private is the other beachfront site (in the 70s, can’t remember the number, all the way to the left when looking at the map).See more..
4.5Fisherman's Haven Park(3 reviews) - This was a nice place to explore if staying in the Tignish Area Parks

So fortunate that we happened to drive past this. I had not been aware of this memorial but as we were driving to our destination on a recent visit to PEI I spotted it and made hubby turn back. Had a wonderful little walk around and wondered why this is not a better known spot. Take a walk along the "Path of Remembrance" around the school house, stroll around Dunk River or walk among the "Ever Living Forest" where trees have been planted with plaques in memory of children's lives that have been lost.See more..
1.0Pinette Provincial Park(1 review) - Don't stop here State Parks This provincial park was a favorite growing up as a kid but in recent years it has gone down hill. Lots of deferred maintenance and the playground hasn't been updated since I was a kid (I'm 40). Bathrooms are severely run down but it appears that they've attempted to make some minor improvements.See more..
