The Great Canadian Soap Company is well worth a stop. The owner talked to us about the soap and the reasons for the different colors. We bought a large variety to bring home. Who knew that goat soap was so special! I purchased several soaps for my friends at home, they were thrilled. I only wish I had purchased more.See more..
We loved visiting here. There is a huge array of local art. Clothing, woodworking, ceramics, fine art, custom made furniture, sculptures, and much more. Prices can be inexpensive or high depending on what you’re looking for. If a person had the disposal income, they could drop $30-40,000 very quickly. If you venture into the rear of the property you will find an amazing and serene garden area. Many wooden, stone and cement sculptures dot the landscape. We thoroughly enjoyed wandering around. 5.0Shoreline Design(51 reviews) - A True Gem Sunday: 9:00 AM - 7:00 PM Speciality & Gift Shops
I was introduced to Peter and his wife Gayle during my first trip to Georgetown, nearly 3 years ago. I went in for the jewelry and left with new friends. When I returned this year, Peter yelled out my name and gave me the biggest hug. I ended up spending a couple mornings at the shop - both purchasing a couple new pieces and learning to make my own. Peter’s jewelry is beautiful and his friendship and mustache are priceless. Make sure to add a trip to Shoreline Design to your itinerary!See more..

4.5Village Pottery(38 reviews) - Beautiful pottery! Speciality & Gift Shops
I heard this was one of the longest running pottery shops in Canada with a large selection so on a recent trip to PEI we had to go check it out. Before we even got inside, the exterior of this shop had me smiling, super cute! Inside is full of wonderful pottery, including a "mug room" with tons of beautiful mugs to chose from. On the second floor they have a gallery with other local art. It was a great stop to get a jump on my Christmas shopping!See more..
I have been to this place three times, first in 2013. What a fascinating operation. For starters, you will not find equipment like theirs outside of the British museum and they keep it working! What a mechanical engineering feat. When I took my British friend there, we spent a happy couple of hours chatting with the owner about how they operate and how they keep it going. And like the folk on PEI, they are so welcoming. Be respectful of their safety instructions and you will find all the staff interested in showing you how the task they are doing that day fits into the whole process. Remember they are allowing you to join them at work. This is self guided and staff will share with you in those moments as their time and safety permits so do not plan a rushed visit. What a unique experience for those who are fascinated by working antique machinery and the sheep to finished product story. Definitely not for children.See more..

Stopped in today on our way off of the Island looking for the Dress up like Ann And be Photographed Experience. This gift shop should not be overlooked. I assumed that it would be pricey due to it being right off the bridge, but was more affordable than most we went into. The real treat was dealing with Hailey who did our Ann Photos. Despite the fact that we were a larger group (5), she took so much time with us and made it a very fun experience. She is certainly an asset to the store, and was so kind to us that this crotchety old girl was moved to tears. I can’t remember customer service so fine. For a mere $4/pp, you can have multiple photos taken individually / pairs / groups etc. It was one of the most affordable And fun things to do on the Island, and well-worth checking out! Thanks Hailey, for such a great time!See more..

We enjoyed lunch while listening to an afternoon concert. Service was quick and the food delicious. The seafood chowder was super and accompanied by a freshly baked bun. The fish and chips were delicious and the French meat pie tasty though a little dry. A trio of teenagers entertained with traditional Acadian music on their fiddle, guitar and keyboard. 4.0Fire and Water Creations(5 reviews) - A fun time creating beautiful jewelry! Speciality & Gift Shops
Teri Hall gave our group of 8 a great experience making jewelry from sea glass. We went to a beach first to look for sea glass but had no luck that day. She had a supply at her studio to use for just such an occasion. She is a great instructor and made the experience fun and easy even for first time crafters. We had been very busy with lots of outdoor activities during our time in the Maritime provinces of Canada and this was a nice change of pace. Everyone in the group came away with a beautiful sea glass pendant necklace. One of our group generally doesn't like crafting but even she enjoyed this opportunity and was very happy with the end result. Teri is patient and a great teacher. We saw White Gables pottery in North Rustico and wanted to visit "the homestead"! We arrived and were immediately taken by Geraldine's sweet personality and quiet demeanor. She is originally from Chatham,Ont and is one very talented lady- an artist, weaver, potter and certified teacher! She displays and sells her hand made items from a shed. Geraldine and her husband developed a potato soap line named after their home which is pictured on the packaging. Clever marketing resulted in a line featuring Anne of Green Gables characters- Anne Shirley (lavender),Marilla(rosemary)and Matthew (coffee). This line is sold at Green Gables and other PEI gift shops. We jumped at the opportunity to see the soap factory. They purchased a home across the road and turned it into a production and storage facility. The soap maker happily demonstrated her raw materials and methods. Inventory is stored on shelves until Geraldine's husband delivers his orders to customers across the island! Geraldine also sells organic fruits and vegetables. She noted that, due to the lack of rain, the raspberries are small this year. She had a good crop of lavender which she bundles for sale. Before we left, she took some pictures for us. We REALLY enjoyed this scenic visit to White Gables Farm and our gracious hostess.See more..

On Saturdays, they recommend reservations and then they make sure someone will be there. The tea room attached is called Mad Hatters tea room.
