    Harbourfront Theatre image
Harbourfront Theatre opened its doors in 1996, the result of more than a decade of tireless effort on the part of a group of Summerside citizens with a vision to create a state of the art, multi purpose performing arts facility in Prince County. The theatre, along with the Eptek Art & Culture Centre and the Summerside Visitor Information Centre, is housed in The Wyatt Centre, aptly named after one of the facility's major contributors, Dr. Wanda Wyatt. Harbourfront Theatre is owned by Regional Cultural Events Centre Inc., a registered non-profit organization managed by a board of directors, general manager, and director of operations, and boasts a friendly, knowledgeable, professional staff and a dedicated core of over 90 volunteers. Its mission is "to provide a continuous live entertainment service to the Prince Edward Island community and its visitors, featuring both local and touring productions, while being a significant driving force within the community to encourage and nurture the development and appreciation of the performing arts." The facility is ideally suited to a myriad of uses, including plays, concerts, opera, ballet, comedy & magic shows, conferences, seminars, receptions, business mixers, trade shows and public forums. Beautifully appointed and state of the art equipped, the Harbourfront Theatre represents the best of both worlds - large enough to host renowned touring acts, yet small enough so that every one of its 527 seats captures a uniquely intimate performer/audience experience. 7. 4.5 Victoria Playhouse (61 reviews)
    - Wonderful little playhouse
    Theaters
    Victoria Playhouse image
Local theatre playhouse in the Village of Victoria by the Sea. Shows run all summer long - check out their website for listings. Very reasonable pricing. We were delighted to get tickets to Follow The Fiddler - a narrated walking tour of Victoria. This was an 'outdoor' play - we followed The Narrator, Erskine Smith, and The Fiddler through town and actors came out from behind a building; etc. and acted out a scene; told tales; sang songs. And as we walked away from each scene our narrator said; and now we'll follow the fiddler and as we walked strolled the streets lovely Cynthia MacLeod entertained us with Celtic fiddle tunes. Have never done anything quite like this. It was delightfully entertaining and one of the highlights our our Prince Edward Island trip. Perfect for all ages too! See more..
  8. 4.5 King's Playhouse (51 reviews)
    - Amazing Local Talent Ceilidh
    Theaters
    King's Playhouse image
We attended the Tuesday night Ceilidh and were treated to some extraordinary local musicians and vocalists. A relaxed "Kitchen Party" like atmosphere we could not get over how friendly and welcoming everyone was. A nominal admission gets you free coffee & tea, while other beverages (aka alcohol) are available for a fee. The highlight though is the music. Warm up your hands because you'll be clapping nonstop and dancing is highly encouraged. We even met the Lt. Gov of PEI the Honourable H. Frank Lewis and are told that he attends most events. The theatre looks like a wonderful place to see plays and other musical acts. The hallway of past acts is impressive indeed. Please check it out! See more..

  10. 5.0 Harmony House Theatre (15 reviews)
    - Do not miss a show at Harmony House!
    Spent 2-3 hours Theaters
    Harmony House Theatre image
We were fortunate in snagging two tickets for this evening to American Pie, as it is currently sold out. It was a brilliant show, and we hope that it will be repeated, or that something similar will be offered next summer. Mike Ross put his “heart and soul” into the show, as did the other artists! Bravo! Harmony House is a unique venue where we make every effort to see The Island Revue with Patrick and Mark each summer. They bring the spirit of PEI to the audience with music and humor. We have been “summer residents” on this beautiful island for over twenty years and urge visitors to attend as many performances as they can. The local talent is amazing and ticket prices are very affordable. Congratulations to all who make Harmony House so very special! See more..

    - May have seen better days

Service was top notch. The seats themselves and sticky floors show that the place has probably seen better days. Quality of snacks, service and movies themselves were great. The place just needs a bit of a good cleaning See more..
  13. 4.5 St. Peters Courthouse Theatre (2 reviews)
    - Escape Room Review
    Theaters
Hubby and I (2 over 50's people) tried out the escape room that they have at the St. Peters Courthouse Theatre. First off, please know that neither of us has done an escape room before so cannot compare this to others. We however really enjoyed ourselves. The day was very hot so we appreciated that the Theatre (where the escape room is set up) was air-conditioned. We didn't "escape the room" but we did make it through several of the puzzles/clues so felt very proud of ourselves. If you are looking for something to kill an hour or so in the area, would suggest checking this out for yourselves. See more..
