Victoria Bridge, Perak, Malaysia

A Moment In Time

Having been constructed between 1897 and 1900, it is one of the oldest railway bridges in Malaysia and remained in service till 2002. If you are afraid of heights, then this would probably be a rather bad idea for you as some places the wooden planks have decayed a little and you can see the ground far below. If not, it’s definitely a must go! Unfortunately for us, we were tight on time as it already began to drizzle when we arrived with very threatening looking storm clouds just minutes behind hence leaving us just moments before the skies opened out. That said, our lil monkey still managed a sprint to the middle of the bridge where not many people were to snap a couple of photos before sprinting back to the safety of the car as a full blown down pour swept in. However, should you visit on a more favourable day, do set aside ample time for loads of photos!! Our full review is on instagram (@monk3yseendo)

Love this place once I stepped down. Clean and historical. Well maintained. Also there's a cycling route nearby to cycle along Sungai Perak. Rented a bike, price starts from RM5 for 30 minutes depending on the type of bike. Fresh air, scenic view.

    Worth Visit
It's an oldest single track railway truss bridge that beautifully preserved !! A best spot to take photos and enjoy the sunset in the evening. There's no entrance fee needed and I went there with my friends. I felt quite dizzy when I walked on the track since there was a quite big gap between the track. Hence, visitors are advised to be very careful when walk on it and kindly hold or carry your kids !!! Overall, worth visit ...
