Ho Yan Hor Museum shares the amazing stories of Ho Yan Hor, the famous household brand of Chinese herbal tea since 1940s. It also provide the discovery of the origins and evolution of the heritage herbal tea. Furthermore, it is the gallery about the inspirational life of Dr. HO Kai Cheong, the creator of the health-giving Ho Yan Hor tea.

    First time visiting HYH Museum
    Local Ipoh friend suggested to visit HYH Museum and indeed the visit was most enlightening, indeed an hour time well spent. and the guided tour was well conducted professionally. Please ensure to pre-book tour time slot to avoid disappointment, as each group is limited to small numbers. The visit if FOC and only by way of voluntary contribution (donation amount as you like)

    Interesting facts about a home grown brand
    This is a free self-guided small museum. Pre-booking is recommended because the venue cannot accommodate many people at one time. It is an interesting museum about the birth and growth of Ho Yan Hor as a herbal tea brand. Most of the exhibits and explanations are via posters. It would be more interesting if the operator had displayed more of actual items used in those years, or if there were explanations on some of the exhibits. At the end of the visit, there is tasting of the various herbal teas. The staffs are friendly.
