WOW what a theater!
My wife and I attended the "Galas de Mariachi" event and absolutely loved it. The theater is absolutely beautiful, a historical marvel, and a great place to see a show. I look forward to returning next year to see the Gala again. A must see landmark even if just for a tour.

A definate must see but attend a performence
This theater has been recently restored and the gilt surfaces combined with the deep red paint makes the theater glow. Attend a performence of the Jalisco Symphony Orchestra to get the full effect of this grand space. Go for the most expensive ticket in the lunetta. when I attended it was $350 mx with a senior discount it was $275, what a great value!
