Try to Go in the Morning!
The morning light is amazing and great for photos, plus there is generally less wind (certainly not always) I was there alone with no other people! The dunes can have a lot of wind packed sand so it’s not too difficult to walk in barefoot- I recommend keeping sandals on for the first 50 feet as there is some fresh glass it seems closer to the roads. When climbing up the dunes it is a bit softer, but such fun in bare feet. If you go later in the day be prepared for wind gusts and consider taking a scarf or face guard. Easy to drive to and park and do on your own. If you are taking the public bus it is at least 1.5 km to walk south from the hotel Rui bus stop area along the highway. Road has a great shoulder so it’s safe to walk on. Note the bus schedule is on the half hourish for pick ups to Corralejo and about 20 past and 10 to the hour going to Puerto del Rosario. On Sundays there is 1/2 as many buses (so pick ups at 1/2 past and 20 past only)

Easy to get to & worth a visit!
Our visit was with family, including four children aged 2 - 11 years old. It was a lovely day out! We caught the bus from Corralejo (no charge for the children and €1.40 per adult). The journey itself was no longer than 10 minutes. The bus drops you right outside a Hiperdino (supermarket chain) which is very handy if you have forgotten to pack anything or if you didn’t want to lug snacks and drinks with you. There is a bar next door to the Hiperdino too. The beach has a large range of sun beds however I’m unsure as to whether these can be used by the public for a fee or whether they are currently in use due to the pandemic. There is also a public toilet just off the beach too. The sand, sea and views are absolutely stunning. It was such a clean beach with soft sand and clear water. It’s the perfect environment for making sandcastles with kids too! The views are stunning. You can see across to Lanzarote. On one side you have the beautiful stretching sea and on the other you have volcanic mountains. I would highly recommend visiting!

This coast
Here is a very good place for Kitesurfing and it is the area between Lanzarote and Fuerteventura. There is an island called a lobo which means the wolf in English. I walked all the way along with speech and I sat with the Kitesurf as there are a lot of them there maybe over 100. When it’s windy and it can be a very windy place I stayed at the Riu treasure is Les hotel which is at the end of the beach going south. It was okay but it’s really a hotel for Rich retired people the drinks are very expensive and at night they play very loud 80s type music. You know YMCA Boney M. all that stuff we’ve heard 1 million times before a good JDJ listens to the music this year and plays the best music this year old stuff for old people please, the food is all buffet there it is a bit hit and miss if it’s fresh or not I had some salmon that made my stomach feel a bit strange but if you stick to the salads you should be okay it is a moneymaking business. Just remember that they are there to make as much money out of you as they possibly can so this hotel looks along the beach there. It is almost in front of the sea. I don’t know how they got permission to build it so close to the sea I wouldn’t of thought they would give permission today and it is expensive. It is from €145 a night 2/200 and the night I wanted to stay there, they wanted nearly €300 but it’s not worth that, you can go to the other side of the island till two Elkorn, call Tio and Pay about €30.
