Experience

The longest lavatunnel i all of Europe, with more than 18 km now explored. A vulcanic tunnel that now has caused scientific interest, because of the cocroach born without eyes. An absoultely amazing experience to get a guided tour into this underground vulcanic world. Highly recommended for those who want to experience something different in this beautiful island.

The guide and the company turned this lava tunnel into a great experience, would definitely recommend to anyone, who can normally walk a bit uphill. Also great for families. Parking space practically in front of the office.

Small museum with pictures & descriptions of the 11 mile long lava tube.e
We stopped here on our 2.5 hour drive from Puerto de la Cruz to Puerto de Santiago. The personable director said his scheduled group had just departed for their 3 hour tour which would be too rugged for our pleasure. Having toured lava tubes in Hawaii and Easter Island, we were happy to walk through the small museum here to see the row of lighted hard hats, pictures, maps and descriptions of the 11 mile long lava tube created by 10,285’ Mt. Viejo ~27,000 years ago. Nice clean restrooms.
