If you want an English guide best to phone and book one. We went on the off chance and tagged onto Spanish guide. Really interesting and views amazing. Worth a visit.    It is like a mini Spain here but there are also many Moroccans who live here. The young men can be a little troublesome around the beach area and I wluld not venture out of city centre at night. Centre is safe. Interesting history . Some stunning architecture here . A great mix of spanish and Moroccan food. The border control with Morocco is rather like Berlin in the old days ! Nador is not a welcoming place to visit !!! Melilla is generally warm and friendly. Mainly Spanish tourists . Beaches are lovely. See more..

    This very large Plaza is encircled by a roadway (a great round-about). The Plaza itself has a few paths leading to different directions in the city and has many pleasant palm trees and grass. There is a beautiful fountain commemorating the 500-year anniversary of the conquest of the city in 1497 by Juan Alonso Perez de Guzman (Guzman the Good), who worked to fortify the city against other invaders.
