That's when we met Valentin who gave us the best tour we could have hoped for, sharing his love for Seville, his great knowledge of history, and lots of fascinating stories. Two hours flew by as Valentin walked us through the narrow streets of Santa Cruz and centuries of the rich history and culture of Seville and its surroundings in a very professional and fun way. Loved the way you explained the history of the whole city and the way you took us to parts of the city a bit off the beat and trail. We did a lunch-time market tour and cooking class. Our chef, and her assistant - who also gave us a tour of the market - were terrific. They have such passion for the culture and cuisine of Spain. The dishes we produced were so redolent of Spain, and each one was delicious. My only complaint is that now I won't be able to eat "paella" almost anywhere, knowing it's just "rice with things" as our chef called it, and not the authentic version from Valencia. See more..

We really enjoyed this Segway tour round Seville. Our guide was friendly and informative and spent a few minutes letting us test out our driving skills (four of the five of us were newbies) and then we were off to see the sites. It was an easy and enjoyable way to tour and really engaged the teens. The Segways are easy to handle and I would thoroughly recommend. My wife and I experienced this tour with one other person along with our guide Jose. Jose provided an amazing 90 minute tour of the Jewish Quarter and demonstrated his vast historical knowledge. The information covering 2700 years of Seville history was fascinating. The tour helped us to explore other aspects of the city on subsequent days. At the completion of the tour we were treated to 3 tapas and 2 drinks at a local tapas bar where we continued to share information and get to know each other. This is a tour I would highly recommend. If you are going to Seville, contact Estela! I had a lot of emailing back and forth with Estela to try to figure out the best planning given our time in the city and when we were arriving. We arrived late in the afternoon and she met us shortly after for a very informative and interesting walk in the Santa Cruz area of the city. She had booked a flamenco show and and dinner reservation for us and walked us to both to make sure we knew how to get there. She even advised us on some special things to order for dinner! She organized a flamenco lesson for us the next morning then took us on a tour of the Alcazar and the Cathedral. She was delightful and highly knowledgable! She offered suggestions for what to do when we weren't with her, including restaurants (for which she was spot on!). We did this tour on our own from a cruise ship that was docked in Cadiz. The cost of private transport was a little pricey, so we decided to take the ships shore excursion of Seville on your own. It worked out great, the bus got us to Seville and we met with Clara soon after to begin our walking tour. Clara was wonderful and we learned a lot about the local history and she got tickets for us to enter the most popular attractions ahead of time. I can highly recommend Clara as she loves the history and is passionate when describing the different sites we visited - and the background photos she had were fascinating. Clara is also a photographer and she knows where to go for getting those shots that you will remember every time you look at your photo album. See more..
