5.0Escape Porvoo(63 reviews) - Amazing! Helpful staff and perfect problems! Exciting! Spent 1-2 hours Escape Games
Really nice experience! The staff was really helpful and the room was just difficult enough to be able to pass it with two people in the nick of time. The hints were subtle, so you still felt like you succeed even with a few of them. The sensation of passing it was amazing which shows just how good the assignments and problems were. Instructions were in Finnish, Swedish and English.See more..
5.0VM Karting Center(12 reviews) - Great fun would def recommend Sunday: Sports Complexes
We visited as a family of 4 (2adults and 2 children aged10 & 11) over the Easter holidays. We didn't book in advance and having checked the website just took the risk of there being availability which there was. The staff were pleasant and friendly and went through all safety information very clearly. The track is massive and the cars were in very good condition. It cost approx £48 for 10mins - the 2 children raced in smaller cars and then my son ( he was just tall enough to try an adult car and was checked carefully) and his dad raced in the larger ones. 10 mins doesn't sound like long but it was plenty, especially for our 11 yr old who raced twice. They don't allow a mix of cars sizes on the track at any one time. Good fun and the highlight of our trip for our 11 year old.See more..

Me and my wife got a gift card for a glassblowing course. Bianco Blu is located in the Fiskars Village. There are a lot of shops, restaurants and a few hotels in the beautiful area. We booked a private glassblowing class for two persons. The instructor and owner Tarmo made us feel welcomed and excited. Two hours flew by as we got to make four different glass pieces ourselves, which we got to keep. Tarmo gave proper instructions and was very helpful and laid-back. This was a great new experience for us both, highly recommended!See more..
The zoo is fantastic! A nice assortment of animals that aren’t shy to come and say hi. You’re even allowed in some of the cages with the animals (foxes, raccoons). The staff are super friendly and accommodating - make sure to ask a lot and get the best out of the experience. It’s just outside of Espoo too- maybe 25 minutes. After corresponding with Antti the owner of Extreme Fishing Finland I finally made it to Finland to go fishing. This was their first trip of the year. The ice had just melted. We fished for about 6 hours and got some nice pike(biggest 3 kilos). The boat was clean and in excellent condition. The gear was in excellent condition. We were provided warm clothing since the water temp was 1.5C. Antti our guide knew his craft and was genuinely excited about his work. Sjundby slott is a beautiful medieval manor house just a few minute drive from Siuntio town centre! The estate is owned privatly so it's important to note that it's not okay to just go and wander to the front yard!! The owner of the manor hosts visitors on special tours during summer months though! The estate has also a small café just outside the manor next to the bridge where they sell for example their own artesan ice cream! There's also a small pond after tje rapid stream where one can go for a swim! There's cyrillic wriring on the walls of one building next to the manor which tells the story of Soviet Occupation during Porkkala Naval Base era.See more..

Nice little farm with animals and guided tour (if you like). Suits very well for small children, the introductions of the animals are quick and easy to understand but still interesting for adults also. You'll get to be close to the animals and children can feed and hug them too. You'll see atleast sheeps, horses, ponys, donkeys, chicken and rabbits. Also there's this adorable farm dog (Onni) and a change to go for a horse ride. The staff is very friendly and clearly likes children. Animals and surroundings are very well taken care of. See more..

5.0Rantaraitti(2 reviews) - Relaxing biking day trip Biking Trails I recommend this bike trip during summer. It is very good as a family bike day trip. The terrain is flat, you go along the seashore, which provides very nice views. You can stop to swim on many small beaches around or simply for a coffee and cake. For that, I highly recommend Villa Rulludd, which has decent prices and delicious small salty buffet same as sweet treats and compulsory coffee. There is a tiny museum on the second floor for free. There are many interesting points, where you can stop and explore Finnish nature. Summer is an ideal time for doing it since all the coffee shops are opened and small harbors are full of small boats. Moreover, the daylight is long, so you don't have to rush.See more..

5.0Struve Geodetic Arc(1 review) - Neglected Piece of History Spent 1-2 hours Points of Interest & Landmarks Struven ketju or Struve Geodetic Arc points are listed in UNESCO World Heritage Sites. They are mainly survey points used to measure exact size and shape of planet earth in 1800's. This was even before state of the art satellites even came in to existence. But sadly they are not mentioned in any of the list of interesting place or sites in Finland. After learning about this interesting places, I decided to visit the nearest survey point to my house. After reaching very close to the place, it took me about 2 hours to find direction (and signage) to exact point because there was absolutely no signage. What was frustrating that not even locals knew about the place. I hope the local authorities put some signage that can help visitors. I found the story and history behind the place to be very interesting and fascinating.See more..

Beautiful winter day in Nukarinkoski. This nature reservation area is beautiful both winter and summer. The river flowed freely. The forms of snow, ice and water produced beautiful works of art. It was wonderful to walk in this picturesque area. The area has a shed, firewood and a place to make a fire. On a cold, sunny and bright winter day, we fried sausages on a campfire and it was atmospheric.See more..

I've only done a part of this route and I hadn't even realised that it was officially recognised. We were fortunate to have good weather for a couple of days last June so drove along to Ruotsinpyhtää and Ahvenkoski. I've passed over the bridges so many times in the coach from Helsinki but this time we actually stopped and looked around. It's man-made, obviously, and usually I prefer nature, but the bridges and the power station are a magnificent sight. There's a café/kiosk on the main-road bridge to get some light refreshments. Inland, along the river, we got some fantastic fish to take home from the old traditional shop that has been trading for many years. We had a plate of the absolutely finest fish there too - they even had gluten free bread for me! One oddity is the ancient village of Ruotsinkylä (Swedish Village). There's a shop there that is still part of the old Coop movement of Finland. In addition, there's a lively working café/bar and garage that's been restored to its 1960s glory. We didn't go to the Ironworks this time as we had gone a couple of years ago, but these are a fantastic attraction on this scenic route. Another part of the route is the town of Loviisa where the journey starts. Again we had been there on this trip without knowing that it was a part of this official tour. I love Loviisa with its old houses and restored buildings and neighbourhoods. And that's not to mention the several excellent restaurants, none of which, unfortunately, we visited this time! The "Western Cultural Route" incorporates for a short distance part of the King's Road, also listed on Trip Advisor. I am returning to the area in July. I shall be asking my friends if we can explore this route further.See more..
