4.0Tulliniemi Nature Path(46 reviews) - Bring your good walking boots! Nature & Wildlife Areas • Hiking Trails
The Tulliniemi Nature path is a favourite walk for visitors and tourists alike - but be sure to bring your good walking boots; while the path is generally well maintained, some parts are stones and gravel and there might be wet and muddy patches. We saw several deer and all sorts of birdlife including the ubiquitous white swans.See more..

4.5Laajalahti Nature Reserve(20 reviews) - Lovely nature Saturday: 12:00 AM - 11:59 PM Nature & Wildlife Areas
Much lovely trails and different kind of nature as you walk by. You can walk around the whole bay of Laajalahti if you want to. Along the way there are couple museums and cafees, summertime a wake park and naturally when by water, a sandy beach opposite to nature preserve. See more..

If you wanna hike in Keskiuusimaa, you don’t have to take one hour drive to Nuuksio in western Espoo, but you can stay in Järvenpää and take your hiking in Lemmenlaakso. Lemmenlaakso is offering nice forest and river views. For me it is most beautiful during the time of flowering spring term. As usual in Finland our nature is free of charge!See more..
4.0Paavolan Tammi(10 reviews) - Beautiful old oak Spent < 1 hour Nature & Wildlife Areas
The walk to the oak was almost as nice as the tree itself. We had lovely sunny weather too. A hidden gem of the Lohja and Lohjansaari. May be should have tried the Ö Café instead of the Ciderberg Applefarm...See more..

4.0Kaunissaari(10 reviews) - Camping in Helsinki on a gorgeous island with sauna and cafe Spent 2-3 hours Islands • Nature & Wildlife Areas
Finnish archipelago is my personal nature favorite in Finland, and I have made it a hobby to visit the islands near Helsinki. Kaunissaari is a beautiful island, accessible by a boat from Vuosaari harbour in eastern Helsinki. What I found most appealing about this island in particular, was the extent of trails to walk and explore the island. This island is bigger than most of the islands that I have visited and as the island has been bought/rented by the city of Helsinki for recreational use in the late 50s, the trails are easier to walk than those of a less visited island. Many people come by private boats and many people seem to live here in bigger tents the whole summer. There are more services (say shower, toilets, sauna for rent) than on smaller islands. There is a restaurant on the island, and I can recommend their chicken & haloumi cheese salad. It took some time before I got it served but it was good - and there is no rush when enjoying the great weather in the archipelago! The boat trip cost 20 euros for a return (adult). I fully enjoyed my day here and can easily recommend it.See more..
