Lovely nature
Much lovely trails and different kind of nature as you walk by. You can walk around the whole bay of Laajalahti if you want to. Along the way there are couple museums and cafees, summertime a wake park and naturally when by water, a sandy beach opposite to nature preserve.

Great place for birdwatching
This reserve has two viewing platforms and a 2.5 km footpath (part of it a boardwalk) connecting the two. The more southerly platform has extensive mudflats in front of it, the northerly one more water. While tides in Helsinki are not very large, something is influencing the amount of mudflats visible. The reed beds hold many songbirds, and further north is an area with woods and more secluded mud areas with different avifauna. The whole area is a very good place for the visiting birder!

Very nice and easy nature walk
Very nice and easy nature walk easily accessible from many directions with any transport. Easiest way is to drive to Villa Elfvik and start walking there.
