3.5Serena Water Park(255 reviews) - An old water park that needs a new beginning so badly Spent More than 3 hours Water Parks
We did have a lot of fun because we don't always go to water parks. "The Crazy Race", "The Crazy River" or the "Black Hole" are cool and there is a lot to do. However I can't give five stars to a park that clearly needs a renovation and is unpleasant in many ways. Several infrastructures look and are so old. The pavement outside is just awful and hurt your feet. No queues for people who have purchased their tickets in advance, so you basically wait in the queue as if you had not purchased nothing in advance. Some slides are so old that you can see cracks and are super slow because they're not slippery anymore. The stairs to the top of some slides are in an old metal and not really inviting. Really they need to make it new and pretty again. In that sense it is super expensive for what it is.See more..

3.5Ungern and Rosen Fortresses(16 reviews) - Two free bastions and Ehrenvärd's Trail Saturday: 12:00 AM - 11:59 PM Spent < 1 hour Historic Sites
The construction of Loviisan Linnake (Loviisa Fortress, bastions Ungern and Rosen) started in 1748. Nowadays Ungern is in better condition. The restoration of Rosen has also started. There are interesting plants around Rosen, e.g. introduces species (non-indigenous species, alien species) like war adventives and traffic adventives. There isn't very much to see in these bastions. If you only want to see them, it takes 10 minutes. However, I recommend that you walk along Ehrenvärd's Trail. The path is 2 kilometres long and there are information boards about the history of the fortress on the route. Texts are in Finnish, Swedish and English. It is easy to visit these bastions. You can walk there from the city center of Loviisa (the distance from the church of Loviisa is about one kilometre) or you can drive your car next to these bastions (write "Ungernin pysäköintipaikka" in your navigator). There isn't any admission fee and these bastions are open 24/7.See more..

3.5Regatta SPA(11 reviews) - Beautiful Spa in the middle of Hanko Saturday: 11:00 AM - 8:00 PM Spent More than 3 hours Spas
Regatta Spa is a unique spa resort which combines the seaside atmosphere of Hanko city and the varied services of a luxury spa to form a unique experience. You can pamper yourself next to the beautiful sea-shore, train with top instructors as well as delight in the tastes conjured up by our chef. In the late 1800s Hanko became a busy commercial centre as well as a lively spa town when a spa facility was built in 1879. Together with Hanko Casino it provided all that was needed for a luxurious lifestyle. The spa facility was open during the summer months and had separate areas for men and women. The Regatta Spa reintroduces the spa culture to Hanko and makes it a year-round experience – “a delight for the city’s inhabitants and for guests from all around the world”.See more..

3.5Ciderberg Omenaviinitila(3 reviews) - Something also for young children Spent < 1 hour Wineries & Vineyards
A very nice afternoon visit to Ciderberg Alitalon Omenaviinitila. Although this is where they make and sell different kinds of cider, it is also a small farm for young children too. Goats and sheep in one pen, cute rabbits in another. Also the close by fields had some horses with at least four babies. If my young Grandson had been with me, he would have loved the animals. The staff were friendly, there was a little cafe where you could sample the ciders on offer or eat snacks. If you enjoyed the cider enough, they had a little shop nearby where you could buy a bottle or two. The only slight problem which did not really cause much of a problem, was that they were out of stock on the apple cider. But all in all a very nice hour's visit and would return again, perhaps with my Grandson next time.See more..
3.5Suitian kartano(3 reviews) - A beautiful castle with lovely garden Historic Sites • Castles
A gorgeous medieval-based castle with a lovely garden and grave yard in the middle of beautiful Finnish countryside. The castle used to belong to famous nobel family Fleming who called the estate Svidja (Swedish) which transformed into the Finnish form of Suitia. The Fleming family had a lot of power and they established the first iron works in the whole Finland to the castle grounds. After Fleming the estate belonged to many nobel families in Finland. During the Finnish Civil War the Battle of Svidja took place here as the castle served as a fortress for the Whites. In the 21st Century the castle belonged to Helsinki University but after the University quit their work at the castle it was bought by famous Herlin family together with the owners of nearby Gårdskulla estate. The castle serves as a festive place and a congress house. Suitia together with nearby Siuntio Church are listed as Significant Cultural Heritage and Built Environments in Finland. See more..

3.0Vihti Ski(2 reviews) - Don't recommend this to anyone, if you have other options Saturday: 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM Ski & Snowboard Areas
Seriously? I understand how challenging it can be to run a ski center in southern Finland but if you can't offer decent service then you should think about some other line of business. Today one of the lifts, the only lift from that particular slope, dropped me into a muddy creek as the water had eroded the thin layer of snow from under the lift track. And yes, this could have been totally avoided by building the lift track properly, using bridging, if you need to have it on top of running water. 3.0The Emigration Monument(2 reviews) - The beautiful crane statue Saturday: 12:00 AM - 11:59 PM Spent < 1 hour Points of Interest & Landmarks • Monuments & Statues
Siirtolaismonumentti (The Emigration Statue) is a very beautiful statue. There are three common cranes (Eurasian cranes) which fly from the top of the monument out to the sea. This is an emigration memory in remembrance of the great emigration during the years 1880-1930. About 250,000 emigrants passed through Hanko to England and then to the North America or Australia. Seeing this statue was an emotional experience for me. Besides, the location at the beach is very beautiful. However, at this moment the location is marked incorrectly on Tripadvisor. The right location is Merikatu, Hanko, just outside Regatta SPA Hotel.See more..

3.0Sammatin kirkko, Sammatti Church(1 review) - A small wooden church in the middle of a small conurbation Spent < 1 hour Churches & Cathedrals
Church has been built in 1754-1755 and the bell-tower in 1763. The church has been restored in 1954 and both church and the bell-tower repaired and redecorated in 2000-2002. The altarpiece was donated by Elias Lönnrot in 1879 on the memory of his deceased daughter and there is space for appr. 300 people. Next to the church is an old grain storehouse (vilja-aitta) of which the first records can be found dating back to 1804. Around the church is a cemetery with soldiers' tombs from World War I and Second World War and memorial for those remained in Karelia among the tombstones of local people.See more..
