Night Market, Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, Malaysia

4.0 (536 reviews) Spent Ranking #13 in Sabah Flea & Street Markets

A must see and eat experience

Wonderful, colourful, wet and tasty. I loved it, also the kids, mostly we met locals enjoying their meal. The price of seafood is still quite high, regarding this is a local market - 18 rm per 100 g for tiger prawns, they are obviously pricey.

Good to explore but tourists BEWARE...
Visited during Raya 2019. Loads of stalls selling fresh produce and there is even another food section selling freshly grilled seafood. Food was ok but don't expect it to be very clean. Tourists beware as the fruits were seriously overpriced! I was surprised when a seller started talking to me in Korean trying to sell me mangoes that were crazy crazy overpriced! I pity the group of Korean tourists beside us as their tour guide was recommending them to buy the mangoes.

Not if you expect clean, fragrant or relaxing
Wet/dry market during the day. About 4pm the food tables are setup. Suggest that you count the number of prawn or whatever when you order and pay. It's reasonably priced but value/food safety should be considered. If you never experienced before, than go have fun and enjoy.
